What do you guys think of that mature aged ruckman they drafted, Orren Stephenson? The second Podsiadly according to the headlines. Looks to me like another shrewd draft choice by the Cats.

Geelng's a small place, we only need 4. We're renting out the other 5 to nearby businesses.

STAR midfielder Joel Selwood has been named Geelong's new captain.

The 23-year-old triple premiership player - he turns 24 in May - was the club's vice-captain last season.

He replaces Cameron Ling, who retired after leading the Cats to victory over Collingwood in the 2011 Grand Final.

I would've liked to have seen Jimmy as captain.
Not a fan of Selwood.
Jimmy's been their best player for a while now, I reckon he's even better than Gaz.
But then again, not my club so my opinion counts for little

x2, although Ling did do a magnificent job.....great luxury when you have multiple players with high level leadership qualities.

Selwood has won a lot of games in his first few years. Geelong will probably be alright still this year. But after that selwood is going to have a few hard years of a struggling side
