From watching when I was growing up, the allison and silvagni marks were something entrenched in my memory!

That was sensational. I missed one half of footy that year - I had to leave at half time of that game! Did see it on tv though.

My favourite marks are Riewoldt's and Brown's going back with the pack. They were incredible. Burton's was also sensational and probably the best high mark IMO. Amazing he did that after his knee reconstruction.

Tarrant's mark over the Melbourne pack was better than Moorcroft's mark.
Ablett's many.
Leo Barry's match winner.

Tarrant's was a ripper. He starts his leap from a fair distance, lovely ride and takes it cleanly.

I always thought Burton's best two were against Carlton (at Corporate Criminal Park) in 99 and against St Kilda (at Waverley) the same year. Witnessed both live and they were extraordinary. Best mark I've ever seen live was the Ant at Adelaide against Central, but that wasn't in the AFL so probably didn't really happen. ;)

Never tire of seeing the Modra highlights reel. I loved to watch him play. You just never knew what was going to happen. To think he kicked over 100 goals in the AFL two and a half years after playing A Grade football for Renmark makes it even more remarkable. He was a freak.

Yep that grab had everything. Guts, athleticism, timing, and judgement. And he one grabbed it. Would have to be my favourite.

Rohan Connolly got it right in picking Shaun Smith's at number 1. You'll struggle to see a better jump than that.

If the umpire pays it, then it is a mark, right?

Ablett over Pert.
Followed by Smith.

Without reading back, I'm assuming your speaking about abletts?

In your opinion you think its the best mark with daylight second, but IMO it isn't even close

It was an umpiring error to pay it. There's no way it can be ranked above grabs where the player actually held it.
