When this turns to shite, Football Crowds do not increase as expected, Adelaide misses out on other 'World Class' Events because we don't have the facilities and the Crown Jewel (Bridge) in the whole shebang is postponed indefinately because there is no money left to pay for it, At least I will sleep easy in another state of the country whilst the rest of you are left with sky high taxes and crap services

Cripes. What a mob of moaners. Where any of you lot West Lakes residents that fought tooth and nail to prevent lights being installed at Football Park all those years ago?

All four of Dutchys points are correct.

Just hope you dont lose your drivers license any time soon because the South Australian public transport system wont help

Well the organisations that just won the new Public Transport contracts had better start getting their acts together.
I heard our Tram system can only handle 3 tram cars on the circuit at once. Hence the constant breakdowns over the Dec/Jan period this year when they tried to increase the number of trams in busy time slots.

So a fat lot of good a Free Express Tram transport to the game will do when there are 20,000 people trying to catch a tram home from Adelaide Oval after a game
And where are the buses going to park for people wanting to bus it to the city?

The public transport system can't handle the crowds for 20/20 Cricket matches, so how are they going get anywhere near handling it for double the crowd at AFL footy matches?

Pretty sure the upgrading of the tram electrical systems was not budgeted for in any of their planning

Maybe they should buy some tickets in the $21 million XLotto this week

They have 3 years to sort it out. But I wouldn't hold my breath

What?

Where i live i dont use the public transport system and only rarely use the main north road (other people dont have this luxury), occasionally i go into the city and need to use it but heaven forbid i stay out past the godly hour of 11:30 or else a $70 taxi is my only option.

Give me a job in Melbourne and ill move there tomorrow.

Dont talk rubbish! as long as we have a 50k + seats to fit a 35k crowd into it 500b is worth re-developing for.

I hear ya mate. I know plenty of people who live out your way, and they don't go out much because of the reasons you have mentioned. Did some work at Blakeview and it's not a bad suburb. I never complained about public transport because I lived near TTP, but the main reason was the missus doesn't drink much, and was quite happy to drive all us drunks home. ;)

yeah unless we have someone to pick us up it becomes a very costly night.

The pubs around our way are quality and there is generally some quality live music on but i prefer to drink out of my beer bottle rather than pull pieces of the bottle out the back of my head.
