I only just awoke from the coma the first half of that game put me in. St Kilda you play the worst style of football ever. Thank God you didn't win. Please don't make the finals this year.

terrible umpiring

both sides have a very long way to go if they wanna be competitive against a collingwood

I dont think the cats will be a flag threat and if saints have and hopes of winning a flag this year they need to improve considerably

If this is the new attacking style ross lyon promised then its going to be a long year.
That was one of the worst matches of footy ive watched in a long time.
Would love to see channel 7's ratings for that one. Bad enough to be delayed but dont think many stayed viewing past half time, borefest

I haven't seen any footy so far. I'm going to stick with the line "if it isn't live, I'm not watching". At least they wont be getting ratings results from me.

What's on live tonight? Personally though I'll be watching the Waratahs battle the Brumbies, live quality coverage with no ads during play. Its amazing that one of the few sports I didn't follow previously is my no 1 watched sport now. And Live quality coverage on Fox has been a major part of that.

Agreed. I'll be shunting the missus to the second lounge room and watch the 15's as well. I should state, I'll only watch footy when it's live AND it's a game I want to watch.

So Ross Lyon's new style of attacking football is going to make the Saints more attractive to watch you have got to be joking that style of play would put anyone in a coma. I only stayed up for the second half when I heard Geelong had won just to see the Saints lose.

If that is what the Saints are going to dish up this year they should be charged with bringing the game into disrepute. Disgraceful display by the Saints they got what they deserved.

Poor Nick "Waxed Willy" Riewoldt had to come off because he hurt his leg what a dork. One of the most overated players in the AFL. At least we got the better Riewoldt he can kick straight and can play!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HEY DICTATOR ANDREW DO NOT PUT THE SAINTS ON PRIME TIME TV AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THEY ARE SH!T
2017, 2019 & 2020 PREMIERS
RICHMOND, RICHMOND, RICHMOND.

Let that be a lesson to you Sturt. You don't beat Glenelg 3 times in a row in Grand Finals and get away with it.

I hate watching St Kilda they bore me to death and play such crap negating football.
They are the reason along with their crap club and culture why people are turning off AFL no matter what Dictator Andrew and his Propoganda Minister Adrian say!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Problem is that style has a history of success. I refer to Dumbetrio's comment in 2005 when Sydney won the whole thing.

And not once has he come out and mentioned how 'ugly' St Kilda play. When asked who he wanted in this years GF the idiot said 'St Kilda and Collingwood'.

Agreed. Selwood showed great courage, but failed to protect himself. Farren Ray is hardly a "hard man of football" but if history repeats, the tribunal love to set an example early in the season.

Last night was certainly nothing to get excited about. It was extremly sloppy, I know you can kind of expect that being that it's round One but it is St Kilda and Geelong, both teams have some of the most skillful players in the competition who cope very well under pressure and usually their disposal efficiency and execution is very good no matter what time of year it is.

I don't think we're going to see much of this attacking style Ross Lyon has promised, more of the same is what I expect from the Saints. Although if they're mind set adjusts slightly and they start to play more attacking footy, it may improve their premiership chances.

I'm looking forward to the Collingwood vs Port Adelaide game today. It's going to be intersting to see how Collingwood starts today's game and to see if Port can stay with them or get the better of them.

i agree, but last year players got suspended for being involved in similar incidents, so no doubt he will get a game or lose demerit points or whatever system they have
