If one person does it, it's insanity. If millions do it, it's religion.

Last year in fact MT. Rowey was calling "they're baaaacccckkkk" after they won by a point at Optus Oval. That's why I distinctly remember it.

Fair enough. I can see both sides of the story. Expanding the comp means that our teams will stay safe whilst the AFL consolidate the TV rights. I don't agree with the handouts teams are given but then it's not much fun having a situation like Brisbane Bears were in their early years.

Im against giving bucket loads of money to non footy areas whilst the AFL are letting footy suffer in the real football states such as SA, WA and TAS, look after your own backyard first.

Jim, I'm in complete agreeance there. You look at this site for example and you've got Paralowie and Smithfield going under, and yet the AFL are pocketing 1 billion for TV rights. Without the local clubs, the AFL have nothing. They are so far removed from what's "real" it's unbelievable. Obviously I'm not just talking about SA local clubs, but it's happening everywhere.

Having a team in Tassie vs somewhere in Blacktown is a much higher priority in my mind.

Excellent point Gadj, I agree. The AFL is fully business based and even though the say they do, they do not take the time they should to help out and aid the people under them and their grassroots. The AFL only care about the Business side of Football, making money is now unfortunately their priority, not the development of the game at all levels.

There would have to be some financial/business reason this has happened.

I think we should get use to it, give 5 years and Collingwood vs Essendon will happen 3 times in the regular season.

Who knows? What's worse is the AFL scheduling Saints and Bombers to play again. Why couldn't Essendon play Collingwood in the semi? Oh, that's right the AFL will want Collingwood playing either Ess or St Kilda in the NAB Cup final. I hope WCE beat Collingwood and they get the home final just to spite the AFL.
