Adelaide v Geelong

Talk on the national game

The Cats have had a go but Adelaide are easily the fittest and best drilled side in the comp and Craigy needs to be congratulated for the way he trains and prepares the team and his inovated methods and use of technology

My game observations, King, Ling, Ottens, N Ablett, Kelly all very quiet, not sure why Bomber started Stokes on Mcleod, I would of went for a more senior player....

For the Crows, the sides flexibility is outstanding, Mattner across HB is a real positive for the side, Burton, the Cats struggled to find the right match up, Proplyzia is a good news story, the club de-listed him with some clear instuctions and goals to improve, to his credit he has taken it on board, done the work and given himself another opportunity. Doughty continues to improve and again, Stokes on Mcleod gave him a licence to control the game

Today's performance the crows would of beaten 15 other sides in the comp

All good points above there Syd, esp. about Dermie and that overrated Cometti bloke who tries harder and harder every season to come up with those 'off the cuff' comments YAWN. As for the Cats having a go, this is probably only half true. The second half has been white flag stuff and we have gone back to playing the dumb football we were playing during the horror run we had earlier in the year. Didn't expect to win, but at least expected us to be competitive which we have not even come close to doing. Ye Gods, Adelaide have IMPROVED. The only side not to put in a '5hit one' all year.

The question is this..does Adelaide need to put in a shocker? Better now than in September.

now for the past ten minutes they have been talking about the pope

I thought the Cats had a go in the first half, second half they just laid down

Otten's 3 kicks for the day, 2 kicks, 2 goals in the last 5 minutes, N Ablett, 3 touches for the day, Kelly and Bartel, both these guys are very disappointing, high draft picks that have not delivered, Ling, well he gets touches but no value for touches, he misses targets and goes side ways.....

Lucky the Crows did not kick straight

Looking forward to the side comming to Sydney this week - GIDDY UP - Game On

In defence of the indefensible...

NAblett..hasn't played that much football and the delivery was shocking. Gary Ablett snr would have struggled up forward given the delivery today.

CLing...did well on Goodwin early but was overwhelmed in the end.

JBartel..not great today that is true, but has been generally good this season. He wasn't on his pat malone today that is for sure.

JKelly..hasn't really recaptured any sort of form since breaking his leg a couple of seasons back and is genuinely disappointing.

You just can't continue to turn the ball over and hang around outside the packs against the best team in the competition. The second half was a real worry. Richmond are cleaning up Collingwood so that door that appeared to be briefly open may have deservedly been shut in our faces. If we were to make the eight we would only be making up the numbers in any case.

Adelaide now has the best attack in the league

Adelaide point for = 1445
Collingwood points for = 1439

Not bad since they have been missing Welsh and Perrie for most of the year

Best defence, now best attack and with the Pies lost it's hard to see them not getting two home finals

He's gone from being unquestionably the best commentator in the game.

To being a parody of himself.

Geelong are prob my fav victorian side - but they are gonna struggle to make the 8.

I am pencilled in to fly back into Australia the day before the AFL GF. Might have to fly straight back out to melb!

Wont make the 8.None of Port,Freo or Geelong deserve to be there, plain and simple.

The real question is,who is going to beat Adelaide?

How long has it been since a team has had such a superior percentage over its nearest rivals? :?

Well done to the people in the members near the race who made it a relatively pain free day. Only 3 dickheads in the whole area which was packed, and of course they sat directly behind me. Much better % than at Power games.\
Thanks again to CP, my son really enjoyed seeing his heroes up close.

Half time. Game over. Adelaide are a fair side that's for sure. Judging on how teams have gone against my side so far, I'd plump for an Adelaide vs. Collingwood Grand Final.
