The weather was atrocious, the oval was flooded and it was bloody cold. Harry O'Brien looked like he was playing dry weather footy, very clean skills.

Plus the Todd River was overflowing and it took forever to get back to the Motel.

Other than that, great night.

How often are they going to play footy in those conditions this year?

I would think both sides would just be erasing that game from the memory.

Those conditions are just not seen in modern day football.

I wouldn't think so. There was no opportunity for either side to have a look at game plans, or players in different positions*.

It was all about getting the ball on the boot, gaining yardage and then see who can slide further in the puddles/ lakes.

If I get a chance, I will post before and after photos of the ground.

Both sides can really take Sweet FA out of that game. However the wet weather football is something that can be experiance outside of Etihad Stadium, might see some wet games this year, but still in Feb, not alot you can take from it, just a solid hit out to get the bodies ready.
