Just in case you didn't see it the first time.... I clearly said I understand there shouldn't be parity..

It was the non-decisions to the Crows that were given to Geelong..

The play on Porpy wasn't allowed to do in the 2nd qtr when waltzing into the forward 50..
The holding the ball decisions all day when 3 or 4 blokes dive on it and it goes to Geelong..
The "push in the back" against Stevens and Johncock when they used their body to hold ground on a bloke backing back...

We had every 50 / 50 decision go against us and the decisions that Geelong got that resulted directly in goals that was frustrating.. the entire K-ROCK commentary was complaining about the decisions all day...

You sound like a Hawthorn supporter. How many times have the Cats been shagged at Football Park. It's got to even out at some stage.

A terrible tale of woe SCD. Just stick to your line that you didn't take your chances.

Agreed. Forget the umpiring, what about Bocks kick straight to Rooke(?) that resulted in a goal. A close game like that and any number of moments could have changed it. Blaming it on the umpiring is like blaming it on the weather or the condition of the surface as far as I'm concerned, no point blaming things outside of your control. Guaranteed when Craigy and the boys go over the tape today they won't be looking at the umpiring.

On the game, pretty shattered by the loss but also heartened by the fact that we showed we have the ability to match it with a top 2 side. All I can say is that we are on track to be an incredibility formidable outfit next season. If someone said to me in Feb that we would get that close to Geelong at Skilled I would have told them to stop yanking my chain.

Another example of Adelaide being in the next best group behind St.Kilda, Geelong, Bulldogs and Collingwood.

Good on you Booney, got some confidence back after your lads actually jagged a half decent win for a change?

I actually think we have it over Collingwood and possibly the Bulldogs now, hopefully the lads prove me right this week.

Agree on 3 of the 4 - i think Adelaide and Collingwood are on par with each other. Find out more this week though.

Interestingly, i heard Blighty asked on the weekend whether Adelaide can win it this year and he said their young players are just too young at this stage.

Yep, agree with Blighty's comments on that, the next 3-5 years will be where it's at for Adelaide. Still, you never know what the 'footy gods' have in store -97 & 98 were both testament to that. Many a flag has been 'pinched' by teams that weren't necessarily the best going around.

Personally, I'm just pumped that Adelaide is even around the mark this year.

Why try to align my comment about Adelaide with the fact I support Port Adelaide?

Where you offended that I dont think your top 4 material?

I should be the one going...

LOL.

We're on the exact same level as Collingwood. Will like to see us against the Bulldogs again too.

I think his right, Adelaide have been around the mark now for the last 9 years but at no stage have they ever been a SERIOUS premiership threat.

If anyone thinks Adelaide can win the premiership this year they are living in fantasy land. St.Kilda are miles ahead of them and Geelong are like Centrals at this time of year, just doing enough in prep for September.

Nah, not offended at all Booney, in fact I agree with the content of your post. Just get the feeling by the blunt nature of it that you may have just gained some slight pleasure in pointing it out. Perhaps I am underestimating you though......

I think you are, when I comment in here I rarely troll or look for comebacks as it pisses me off when people do it in the Power room.

I really think Collingwood are ahead of Adelaide. Perhaps Adelaide will win this week but I think as far as having a side ready to challenge for a flag Adelaide are about 5th or 6th in line this season, not to say they wont be ready in 2010/2011 In fact it scares me a little that they are building the squad they have and it also appears as though Craig is becoming more flexible in his approach to his game plans which was much criticised in recent finals series.

Keep in mind Geelong had no back line last weekend and still kept Tippett and Porplyzia ( IMO Adelaides two best forwards ) relatively quiet.

I reckon most Crows fans are far too happy with the loss. As a Cat fan I reckon we were bloody lucky to get out of it. If Porplyzia had fired it would have been all over for us. All I can say about this game is that Chapman is a GUN.

They showed some pretty massive statistics on Chapman, "On The Couch" last night ... Statistics that would have to put him up there among the most valuable 5 or 10 players in the game.

I saw that to CP he is a gun and those stats were very suprising and shows that his impact on the game if often over shadowed by the big names around him.

Must I explain everything. I mentioned that Tippett and Porplyzia were kept relatively quiet, Tippett 4 and Porplyzia 0, I would say them kicking 4 between them is "relatively quiet"? Went a long way to the Cats winning.

Yep agreed mate, they have an abundance of talented players down at the Cattery, but would take a fair argument to suggest any are more effective than Chapstick.
