Except for Gill. I think Massie is in more trouble than Gill. Purely because our forward line is where the gap is compared to defence where there are options.

I think Massie may be 2008's Jason Torney.

Agreed ... Still think Kenny's contract is a chance to save him tho

Dont forget loosing basset IMO will keep Massie on the list we cant afford to loose bass, massie possibly Johncock. if we get an injury or 2 down there we could be in trouble

Adelaide should really look at having a massive clean out this yr. Get rid of or trade:

Gill- good on his day but doesnt perform often enough
Sellar- shown nothing
McGregor- worst decision ever to resign him last yr, never liked him as a footballer
Goodwin- Harsh, but in reality no longer a match winner- id rather see kids playing
Shirley- can only tag and didnt even do that well this yr
Doughty- has minimal influence on games
Knights- can't kick and is slow
Jericho- had enough chances
Henschtel- body is gone
Massie- only a gap filler
Campbell- not up to AFL standard
Reilly- trade

if we get rif of him who plays at CHF. Atleast he presents and IMO once he was fit enough did a good job for us.
Sellar- shown nothing

Needs more time IMO we took him as a high pick i believe and need to give him 1 more year
Shirley- can only tag and didnt even do that well this yr

only tagger to towle judd up and still need a tagger in your squad
Doughty- has minimal influence on games

his hard ball gets are the best in the club and take that out we would have been smashed this year
Knights- can't kick and is slow

agree never liked him burns the footy and runs around like a yr8 footballer. possible trade bait
Henschtel- body is gone

needs a full pre season before you can asy his body is gone. You need to have a pre season to play AFL and not get soft tissue injuries. The face he got back played some league footy is a positive but the soft tissue injuries wrecked him due to not doing a pre season

Not sure if they would be gettable, but the Crows should have a sniff around Cleve Hughes and Travis Varcoe imho, both would be handy acquisitions and last I heard Varcoe was still holding off on re-signing (not sure if thats changed).

I think your complementing Massie by saying that, nothing against him but not near the same calibre as Torney. I reckon anyway.

I think Knights will stay, Gill is 50/50 but i'd like to see him stay, McGregor HAS to go, how many games did he play this year anyway? If Gill stays fit alongside some improvement from Tippet, Moran and maybe Sellar, McGregor will never get a look in! Would be good to see Mcleod in a forward pocket with maybe a quick dash through the middle, Edwards maybe back pocket then same as Mcleod and try Goodwin at half forward. The experience these 3 bring to the team is vital. The back half looks pretty alright with Bock and Rutten at key posts, Its a young and immature list but with time it'll go well i reckon.

McGregor can still be delisted at years end but will have to be paid out. I dont think this is an issue for the Crows as they have room in their salary cap and it doesnt cost much to get an 18 year old in from the draft. Even if it was an issue, I am sure they can make allowances, such as Kouta's 5 year deal which was weighted heavily in his last year but paid very little in the first 4. Same could happen at Adelaide if McGregors salary was a concern to the salary cap.

Would think the follwoing players will get delisted, or possible trades:

Certainties

Bass (retired)
Biglands (retired)
McGregor
Jericho

Possibles

Campbell
Gallman

Trade

Johncock (only if he wants out)
Reilly
Knights - has played 50 games now and wouldnt be considered part of best midfield in a couple years with Vince, Van Berlo, Mackay, Dangerfield, Otten all coming through to replace Goodwin, Thompson, Edwards and co.

Keep

Massie - Prob dependent on whether Gallman is kept, but without Basset should get another year to provide support down back if needed
Sellar - Drafted as a good long term forward, needs longer than 2 years to be given a decent chance.

Spot on...the only one missing is Johncock.

I can't believe what I'm reading about Knights. He very much has elite potential. Has the ability to get in and out of traffic like the best in the business and is becoming a solid tackler. Strong overhead, capable of going forward and kicking goals (not yet, but will), and obviously a ball magnet. Way too good to get rid of. Would be one of the first I keep.

Agree!! Knights is awesome and hopefully has no injuries problems next year. We would be mad to get rid of him! He's one of our most important players.

No point getting the ball and turning it over.... he has done it every game he plays. Sure he gets 30 possies but 20 in affective ones hurt in todays game with turn overs. I would rather trade him as someone would be interested and keep your vince, douglas etc who use the footy

Talk about trading what is the point when you got a joung kid at norwood. quick and is a goal sneek. josh donohou.

or look in the 19's at norwood tall forwards like muster and shillabeer (Scouts are interested but needs to move to the city from port augusta) and tim jenkin who is dashing half back with good skills

Or look at north kriston thompson could make a good backman, boras who is real ull forward if developed.

Adelaide miss out on wundke who was rookie draft by kangaroos which have shown some promise for his vfl side.

Of course there are more these are the players I have seen consistently.

He needs to start finishing his shots off, he misses far too many goals. I'm not sure how that counts as 'using the footy', other than that he goes alright.
