Any North Melbourne fan disappointed with tonights showing should be stoned, what a great performance by a side a little undermanned but wow did the shinboner spirit come out tonight, take a bow the NMFC, their coach and players, on tonights effort would have beaten any other side in the AFL, this comps alive people :D

Dutchy will be very disappointed as it was the worse possible result for him, the Kangas lose and his money on Geelong to win by plenty loses too!
At least Im only half disappointed, my team had a win even if my wallet did have a loss.

nah I said when I put the bet on I would be happy to lose it....very proud of the effort tonight, I wasnt expecting it...every team has injuries but the quality we had out tonight was extraordinary....at least 4 of our top 7-8 in the stands

Geelong still ooze class however there work when they dont have the ball would worry me....plenty of Roos loose which made things easier...

Never mind the inevitable Shinboner guff that will arise from this match, the Cats were awful tonight. Last season the whole side carried the workload but this year it is only four or five blokes doing the work most weeks and is the real reason why the gap between the Cats and the rest just doesn't exist anymore.

Our defensive structure fell apart when Scarlo went down and the Roos bomb in it in high to the talls strategy worked a treat for them and kept them in it. When you add to that the FIVE goals we gave up to the Roos tonight it is a wonder we won at all.

The reason we didn't was due of course to the efforts of Gary Ablett Jnr and Cameron Mooney who finally found his kicking boots but he won't play next week as he brought out one of his old tricks from the 2006 play book and as such will be suspended for the pointless Barry Hall style 'lovetap' he gave to ex cat Scott Thompson.

The big positives from a Cat point of view include the form of Mooney, Lonergan and Ottens who was a lot better for last week's run. The big negative is the pending Mooney report and Scarlett's hamstring injury. I reckon he'll miss a few weeks and we've got a couple of interstate clashes coming up after the Port game at home next week.

Not a happy Catter - some really ordinary players are playing good games against us this season. Now we are finding out why going Back to back is so rarely achieved; Everyone comes after you.

regards,

REB
