Well, if correct, that probably accounts for the 5 cars then. No doubt he flagged up as a possible danger to the police.

:? Hmmmm...what else would she have used to take a photo

mobile phone

Errrr...never owned one but wouldn't that be classed as a camera too.

Probably was!

I can't believe five police cars turned up!!! Lucky it didn't happen on Fitzroy Street. They'd still be waiting for one to show up.

Does Wayne Carey have a degree in magic?

I keep reading about how he glassed his girlfriend or "smashed" a glass in her face yet the only cut she had was inside her mouth. Not sure about others but the only times Ive encountered people who have glasses smashed in their face or are "glassed" require a hell of a lot of stiches to their face. Surely the papers aren't sensationalising the story at all?

Sounds like cheek on teeth from a slap across the face to me. Yes, "glassing" usually means extensive external cuts and stitching.

Agreed, Im not trying to justify it though, any form of violence against a woman is abhorrent in my mind, but just had to get off my chest more pathetic journalism.

Pathetic journalism? Seems they're only reporting what the cops have told them in regards to the glassing.

However, I too have wondered about the glassing - haven't seen any scars on the girls' cheek.
Wouldn't put it down to pathetic journalism the fact they aren't there though.

maybe Ive got rose coloured glasses but this is a media persecution if Ive ever seen it.....apart from the touching a girls breast the morning after the GF win (no excuse but good chance the bird knew who it was) has he actually been found guilty of anything illegal? :?

not being put in the HOF for these unfounded "incidents" would be a disgrace...

Rebecca WIlson what a hag! How about her I told you so article in the 'Tiser. We all know Carey is a knob Rebecca, we don't need you to tell us. You are not a genius for figuring it out.

Time for Cornesy to bag her again.

Dutchy I think you have got rose coloured glasses on.

I don't agree with the sensational headlines either - but if you look closely at their reporting its based on 911 calls, police reports and video footage (unless you think they CGI'd him in to the footage from last week). They are actually more careful than it seems these days because everything would be run past their legal depts first. It's all "a friend said ..." or "police say ... ", etc.

So while I agree the media are beating it up for all its worth - if the underlying facts were false why hasn't Carey 1 - denied them publicly and 2 - got his lawyers on the case and started libel proceedings??????

FWIW I hadn't heard about the HOF question mark and I agree that shouldn't be affected by non-football related stuff.

Poor Wayne

none of this is his fault, the Kelli Steven's affair, the alleged assaults of Police Officers in Miami and here, not to mention the alleged glassing of his partner

Caery is just lucky he has a very understanding or lets say very stupid partner who continues to deop the charges against him, once again, this unfortunately is consistent behaviour from women who have been abused, however, it still does not make Carey's actions defendable

In all seriousness he obviously has anger problems, he needs help, before it's too late, he is starting to develop a patterrn of aggresive behaviour

Yeah too right on my street guys are taken out of their house in hand-cuffs by a group of police all the time.

The police are always being called to sort out domestics around here

 :D

What about Carey's denial (or lack of it) BTW?

I haven't seen any comments either .... that's my point. If you had been accused of sonething you didn't do would you wait a week to deny it?

A radio report says he is in negotiation with Channel 9 to sell his story for $200K so maybe he is waiting for the right $$$$ deal before issuing his denial?

I am not judging the guy BTW ..... but I am being realistic about the images I have seen I genuinely hope he sorts himself out.

With Legal action pending I dont think any Lawyer would advise anyone to come out and defend themself in the media prior to any trial
