I think Brett Ratten was ruled out very quickly as I recall there being some issue with how poorly he presented himself.

I never found out what the issue was as I thought and still do that Ratten was a reasonable coach.

and Booney if anything his love of his football club clouds his judgement - something to admire rather than admonish. You're exactly the same but for some obscure intangible mythical entity that only you think exists.

Booney's club is the most successful senior football club in the Country, plays in one of the elite competitions in world sport, has tens of thousands of adoring fans.

Your football club plays in a dying tinpot league against brickies and plumbers in front of drunk, sad, bitter, old men. So much so that Booney's football club has it's *reserves* be one of the better teams and playing in a grand final on Sunday.

It really is the final and ultimate nail from the mighty Port Adelaide if our second team gets its colours on the chimney. How shameful for you all.

Great day indeed.

Ratten would be ironic seeing it was the Gold Coast who ended his Carlton coaching career.

Yep. Shameful. Utterly shameful that SANFL clubs were once competitive with the mighty Port Adelaide but now cant even beat our Reserves.

It must sting. It really must. You can see the pain in UK Fans posts.

It's all 100% factual.

Port Adelaide's Reserves are playing in the SANFL Grand Final on Sunday, are they not?

Just because its painful doesn't make it not true.

An AFL reserves side. Filled with AFL players.
I like to hang shit on the SANFL die hards myself, but c'mon. Port and Crows should be playing off in the GF every year.

I love how you know what the SANFL crowd demographic is, yet you never go to a game.

If you knew anything about the debate, you would be aware SANFL purists new this day would come, and are quite surprised it hasn't happened more often since 2013.

Drunk? Only after 3/4 time and usually only at the Alberton games. I can "walk" home.
Sad? Nope, my general disposition is quite happy, or even gay.
Bitter? Nope, not at all, life's too short. Can't even think of anything to be bitter about.
Old? Nearly 42, sometimes I feel older, like after a day in the garden, but that's an office boy doing some "real" work.

And?

that's kind of my point.

Port are playing in the AFL. We've moved on to such a degree that our second team is now playing in Grand Finals in the $ANFL against out former rivals.

It's sad of any supporter of that pathetic competition to be trying to be critical of AFL clubs. It would be like me having pot shots at the way Goodwood Saints are being run as a Mitchell Park member.

Port reserves littered with AFL listed players.. bit of an uneven playing field don't you think?

Rubbing peoples face in it is poor form.
