After all the publicity this story got by roo on triple mmm tuesday, I watched the replay of open mike with cornsey. Was a captivating interview definitely will be trying to catch more of the show from now on despite not having fox. Amazing that roo didn't know the mcguinness issue had occurred.
It makes you wonder how many training sessions mcguinness would have missed in 85 & the reasons for missing training were:D

For those not aware of the full story, McGuiness was a young lad off the rails and Cornesy though that to help him settle down he would invite him to live with him and Pam.

While Cornesy was at work, guess what happened....

Strange seems as though he had already won a Magery a few years before that. I reckon if i was a lady fish id stop swimming near Mcguiness. Thats 3 that have made news, can only imagine how many of Tiger McGuinesses indiscretions didnt

An ex team mate of McGuiness who is a good friend of mine told me years ago that Freddy wasn't the only player that fell under the spell of Mrs. Cornes. Her welcome to the club for new players was to cook a meal for the player and home deliver it wearing nothing under her big coat!

No wonder Wedgie's first comment at the Bay two years ago got no response from the Cornes family!!! LOL :D

Agreed, didn't realize the extent of his battle.

Remember seeing him with a few teammates at Joppies in the 90's after they'd played over here and Schwatta would always be at the bar smashing the Shooters.

You just don't know what can be going on beneath the surface.

That was after she was married to Craig Marriott, before Graham and then Fred?

Loved the Schwass interview. Would like to see Denis Pagan on there, more so to get him talking about what happened at Carlton when he was there

this series just gets better and better
not only are the footy stories great but the life stories are so much better
to watch the fact that the heros we grew up wanting to be like are just human like the rest of us
have never liked cornsy but I must admit I watched that and have now got a huge amount of respect for the man
the only episode I did not like was capper but then again he is more in line to be on the comedy channel
not sure if they have done one on mal brown but would love to see one
we stand as one
we fight as one
we win and lose as one
we are one
