Just heard he was asking mega cash to player coach next year

AFL to Div 6 seem logical.

Way to impress them tho lol

Will need the mega cash apparently the punch to the cab was because his card declined

Will Port have the cojones to drop him for the SANFL GF?

Hinkley will stay I reckon, has some good leverage for a better deal at Port now. Talking with some Port mates yesterday and they reckon let him go. Virtually argued that his credits in the bank have run out after 3 years of underachievement.

Any odds up for Hinkley's replacement?
It will be interesting to see how he goes at the Gold Coast.

Reports that Hinkley has asked for an out in his contract. Wheels are almost off.
New Coach, new list? Port need to get a first round pick.

I'm not sure Hinkley will leave Port Adelaide, after all the Gold Coast are basket case but with this being said I understand the financial security of a 5 year deal on around $800k a year would certainty be hard to pass up when at Port Adelaide its a 2 year deal on about $400-450k

Certainty not a good look for an AFL funded club poaching a contracted coach and the AFL stamping it off :? .........

From a Port Adelaide supporters perspective my feelings if Hinkley left, hmm I'm unsure to be honest, A fresh voice, new game plan, new ideas could freshen the place up. I actually think we have a pretty good list, Yes maybe I'm looking through Port Adelaide coloured glasses but I believe we have the best Ruck in the comp, A super CHF (He cops plenty but I seriously rate Dixon), A very good defence with a solid midfield. I add to this some very good young talent coming through (also key position talent which is vital) I then ask myself why would you want to leave Port for the Gold Coast? Could simply only be for the money.

For what its worth I actually like Hinkley and prefer he stays but If Hinkley does leave be really interesting to see who we appoint.

Dew, Franco???

interesting times ahead.

I thought Hinkley was staying even with the contract offer from Suns but now they are reporting both Dew and Barker have withdrawn their applications...so maybe Hinkley is closer to leaving than I thought.

Apparently Ken, KT and Koch have been in off site meetings all weekend. Rowey reckons they'll either announce today he's staying or leaving.

Two stories :

A: The AFL have come in and ****** Port Adelaide over to try and save their bastard child Gold Coast money pit. They can GAGF if they've poached a contracted coach to run their piece of shit up there.

B: Hinkley will sign a contact extension and stay at Port and has wisely used the GC offer to gain leverage over Port for a longer, more lucrative deal.

Interesting day ahead.

I can only assume you've done a thorough review of the PAFC's list, their age, experience and have watched the development of the younger players on the list closely?

I think it will be 'B' and Ken will send the GC a Christmas card thanking him for the extra money he got from Port.

I for one, hopes you're right. If he does go, Koch has a lot to answer for. PA will head south once again. Sad times.
