Is there anything else you want Sydney to have?

Nah not really. Just when you finish top you'd think common sense would prevail

But we've got the EJ Whitten Legends game, AFL ladies match and the "us against them" Slowdown. Who needs AFL finals?

NRL rubbing their hands together.

Makes zero sense!

Caught a bit of the Rush Hour out of Sydney during the week.... they made mention of the AFL bye, and the opportunity it presented their comp. Got a mention on back page as well. So "zero sense" is perhaps off the mark.

Personally I have zero interest in the NRL. It will be interesting to see what the wash up of this weekend is, and if AFL HQ stick with a bye weekend between last minor round & start of finals, going forward. For me, its lost momentum. On the flip side, the Hawks will benefit as I reckon the extra week will help Stratton & Big Boy!

Yep.

Even if the finals were this weekend they haven't scheduled a Sunday game*.

*but they probably would have in place of the Thursday night fixture.

I recall watching my lad play one fathers day in a final, the lads got up. Quite a few happy dads on the sidelines. ;)

Yep I get it. My Dad went 6 years ago. Raise a glass in his honor Wedge.

Same Wedgie. Not that dad cared much for fathers day it's just going to be another really sad reminder of him not being here anymore.

Sorry guys didn't mean to cause any pain. Just thought it is strange that there is no footy on on a day when dad's supposedly get to do/watch what they want...
