You should know better than most Jabber, that making wholesale changes does nothing for the stability of any team, let alone changing the coach. Was it his fault that we were kicking and handballing at 45% most of the game.

gadj, the skills this season have been pretty average for most of the year. Skills are something the coach has the power to get his team to work on at training. There are too many blokes ala Thornton, Carrots, Jamo who just can't can't run forward and carry and use the ball.

I'll say it now, Carlton will not make the finals this year, and won't make it next year. I just can't see any improvement in our game style or attitude under Ratten.

If Thornton ever gets another game wearing the Dark Navy Blue I'll chunder....

As I said at the start of the year, this year will be a year of adventure, where we get used to not having a 80 goal FF, and still building a backline. Sitting where we are I think is a pretty good effort, given we've now lost Kruezer as well, I think if we don't make the finals our year isn't without value. This year was always gonna be tough and yeh I have expectations just like anyone else. Today was ordinary but you can't say sack the coach.... because I don't know what he could've done differently. In saying that, I expect players to NOT kick it to a one on two - without having to instruct them to do so. I call it common sense. Unfortunately we lacked some of that today.
