VFL Premierships are NOT AFL Premierships any more than SANFL ones are!
That is truth not "crap".

Wrong

Pretty sure Carlton won them against the Pies, Hawks, Bombers, Tigers etc

not against Sturt, Glenelg, Westies, South etc

Last time I checked the Pies, Hawks, Bombers, Tiges and other are in the AFL

Carlton's premiership's were won in the recognized elite competition of the time.
In the same elite competition, Port Adelaide has 1.

The AFL is the old VFL so their flags definitely should be recognised. Do premierships SANFL teams won while the comp was the SAFA or SAFL not count just because the comp had a different name?

Correct
The VFL was only re-badged, a new comp wasnt just made up.

How has Mclean not been playing. He provides a hard edge around the contest and ball ups. Actually means Carlton can get a clearance when Judd doesnt get it.

Haven't been able to carry him with guys like Curnow, Carrots and Murphy in the midfield. I agree, he's been good, but he needs runners around him each and every time he gets the footy. That means guys like Gartlett, Simpson, Walker et al need to get by him cos he struggles to run out of sight in a fog. Don't get me wrong, he has a role to play and is good at it, providing he has support. He gets shown up when he doesn't have support, and that's not his fault.

On another note, how much better do we look with Duigan back there?

He offers more then Curnow, because he brings guys into the game. Basically offers what Robinson does when he is worked threw the Midfield. Perfect guy to throw in there when youve had 2 or 3 goals kicked against to force ball ups and break even
