Not sure mate, I don't agree, I think Thilthorpe ( firstly, should change his name, it's shit, or should I say thit ) is a franchise player for Adelaide in the next 10 years and he could be anything. I reckon they start building the forward line around him like Hawthorn did with Franklin, it's just a matter of finding his Roughead.

Big call. Thilthrope has been super impressive as has Gulden and we haven't seen the highly rated Hollands yet. He's a ball magnet no doubt.

He meant out of the North Melbourne crop.

That makes sense

A Crow mate reckons he's a spud and won't make it. I said you're getting confused with Fogarty. He remained steadfast.

There are some players where you feel they just won't make it, I felt this about Will Gould when drafted, he seemed a kid already at his ceiling. Thilthrope doesn't have that feel, lock him in as a long term player.

Gould has signed a one year extension, hopefully another preseason & an uninterrupted year will give him an opportunity. Glenelg bias aside, I saw the kid every week & he has what it takes. He’s only just turned 21.

North Melbourne has appointed Jack Ziebell to the captaincy for a sixth consecutive season and also topped its leadership group up with two fresh faces.

Despite playing just two games in an injury-riddled first season at Arden Street, Aidan Corr has been named in the Kangaroos’ leadership group for 2022.

23-year-old Nick Larkey enjoyed a breakout season in 2021 and has been rewarded with a spot in the leadership group as well.

Kayne Turner is set to continue in his role in the leadership group this season. After undergoing chemotherapy in the off-season, Ben Cunnington will also form part of the leadership group when he is available.

Jy Simpson and Luke McDonald will serve as Ziebell’s vice-captains in 2022, as they did last season.

“It’s a great honour; I’m very lucky to be in the position to be appointed captain again of our great footy club,” said Ziebell, who is set to play his 250th senior game this season.

“It’s something I’ve really enjoyed over the last five seasons and it’s something I’ll look to enjoy again over my sixth year in the job.

“I’m very fortunate to have great support in our leadership group that’s been appointed this year.

“I think it’s a really good mix for our playing group at the moment. We’re really looking forward to the season ahead.”

North Melbourne’s general manager of football performance, Daniel McPherson, congratulated Ziebell, his vice-captains and the leadership group.

“Jack leads by example and is highly respected by his teammates and coaches. He personifies the North Melbourne Kangaroos,” he said.

“As we embark on the 2022 season, we look forward to this newly formed leadership group getting in behind Jack to drive the standards and behaviours of the playing group, with the aim of making our club better every day.”

The Kangaroos claimed the wooden spoon in 2021, but showed considerable signs of improvement towards the end of David Noble’s first season in charge.

The additions of highly rated Richmond tall forward Callum Coleman-Jones, number one draft pick Jason Horne-Francis and midfielder Hugh Greenwood will give the Shinboner faithful reason to be excited.

Great work for Larks, interesting stat from last year, he kicked more goals than Lynch, Naughton & Kennedy.

Definitely set for some improvement this season, picked up a couple of players that will be useful as well.

Greenwood is handy with out being outstanding.

WTF are North Melbourne thinking with their new long sleeved guernsey? Might as well as just wear a white skivvy under a normal sleeveless guernsey. :vom:

15th in the Coleman, less than 2 goals a game. How I long for the forwards and gamestyle of the 90s.

Can't see this being very flattering for the Rangas in the side.
Needs a Catchit logo on the sleeve.
