They made the media release 5 mins after the concussion sub news was confirmed and just as Round 1 is about to get underway, it now gets buried back in the news cycle/reports, clever.

Once again the Crows did not consult the masses who hate the club to find out the optimal time of release to please them so they can troll the club...for shame...

It's already had months of discussion! Pretty sure the club wanted it done and dusted but from what I hear the PA dragged it on plus the negotiations between player and club to get as many $ as possible...

Either way I'm glad they did it. Can't have a fourth chance....

So $700k for Gibbs to run around for South and $100k or more for Stengel to run around for the Eagles?

Why payout someone who has done the wrong thing 3 times?

Deserves nothing

I’m with you.
He broke rules and protocols surely they can just sack him just like we would be sacked at our employment.
No payout needed

Gibbs is still on big coin from the Crows.

We know it was well managed, hence they waited until today to announce it. Wasn't his car crash last year only reported 9 days after the fact?

Gibbs would be a good portion of his $600k+, Stengle would be a nominal amount of his probably $250k and I reckon Jenkins is still on the books.

I think Stengel would be paid less as it sounds like he has walked. I’ve heard the Crows told him he could stay on the list but would only be available for selection in the SANFL side and they would then revisit at seasons end. Seems he said no to it and I wonder if he is open to be picked up in the mid season draft in which case surely the Crows will pay stuff all?

I think you are correct Jim.

On another point, I saw on here (I think) that someone was quoting a journo that had stated McAssey was to leave at seasons end. As of yesterday expected to sign an extension.
