He's never really set the world alight , doubtful he'd make either side if there was no injuries. Cats have faith in him though and think he has good leadership qualities.

With only 7 games this season for a team that finished 10th, its fair to say unless he was injured you assessment would be justified.

I believe that Horlin-Smith has a lot of potential but the MC have been reluctant to give him more of a go. In previous seasons that was fair enough but I thought he was 'underplayed" this season. GHS is quite strong although there is a knock on his pace and his situational awareness hasn't come on as much as the club would have hoped.

IF he goes to Adelaide then it could be a win for both player and club as he appeared to be a bit of a scapegoat at Catland at times.

I heard Murdoch was being used as a potential trade and I would not be upset with that

Murdoch would better suit the crows but I cant see Geelong being keen to let him go.

Murdoch not yet a world beater but neither were blokes like Bartel, Corey and Kelly in their earlier years. I reckon we'd be mad to let him go when there's a fair chance his best footy is just around the corner.

Realistically (Taking team colours off for a second) what do you Geelong fans envision being the likely outcome of the Dangerfield trade?

I personally think a 3rd club will be involved. Possibly Brisbane or Carlton with Redden or T Menzel.

Either way I think it will be a very complex trade with 3 or 4 clubs being involved.

Stellar year, thoroughly deserved. Lets see what he can do next year with a bit more ruck support

Not bad for the 54th pick of the 2011 PSD, 154th overall.
We've picked up some beauties over the years down the list.

Congrats to Blix but our B&F shows why we've dropped down the pecking order. Blix played some brilliant games this year but his development still has a way to go. I'm hoping that someone like Duncan wins the B&F next year.

Tend to agree with this. Played well in patches but he should not be winning BnFs with this years output.

He was fairly solid all season in my opinion. When he was the sole ruck he found it hard but when he played as a midfielder he was at his best.

So how many players have now listed the Cats as their preferred destination in the trade period? WIll they have any picks in the National draft or will they trade them all away?

4 I think

Dangerfield
Scott Selwood - Deal done under RFA
Zac Smith
Henderson - Rumors of next years 1st draft pick (Which is overs I think)
