I wonder if Adelaide would have been so aggresive if Craig and Reid were still in their respective positions?

No

In saying that, it players wanting to leave not Adelaide aggresively chasing players.

There is no difference between pick 8 and 13, let alone 28 and 33. Port should just stop trying to play hardball and do the deal.

Good point GN, would you be happy to basically swap Ebert for Gunston? I think thats a pretty fair trade

Would definitely be happy with this trade. Whether Ebert/WC would be is another thing.

I hope not. Tell you what. You can have D.Motlop and pick 28 and give us pick 24 to get Ebert? Great, done deal.

Anywho, with all this pontification about pick 24/26/28, surely in a compromised draft there is little chance of the WCE actually getting who they want with the pick they are holding out for.

Not sure what the spudalicious Motlop has to do with it. If the Eagles are prepared to accept 26 from Geelong, they'll sure as hell snap up 24. Be worth Adelaide putting it on the table IMO.

Neil Blame just denied that Geelong have offered anything for Ebert and have no desire for him

Then again, WCE could just accept 33 considering there is not much difference between 28 and 33 and not lose him for nothing?

Since 2001

Pick 28
Mark Powell, Tristian Cartledge, Jay Nash, Chad Gibson, Matt Riggio, Chris Dawes, Marlon Motlop, Shaun McKernan, Mitch Duncan, Ryan Lester

Pick 33
David Rodan, Brad Murphy, Jed Adcock, Cain Ackland, Sam Gilbert, Jarryd Morton, Matthew Westhoff, Thomas Gillies, Anthony Long, Jeremy Howe

2007 was a bad one for Port, drafted Marlon Motlop with 28 and Matthew Westhoff with 33, both spuds who we finally see the back of.

Fair bit of difference between #33 and #24 if the Crows are offering it that is.

Well im not sure about it. This draft is weak. From pick 15 onwards its a bit of a lottery. not too much of a difference anyway

GWS don't get the first 5 picks, they get pick 4. They already have picks 1-3 & 5.

Am I correct in thinking that GCS got the 1st pick in the mini draft and may not even pick Jaegerbomb O'Meara?
