depends on if its pick 10 or 16, and also if we get something back.

"first rounders mean many different things"

wouldnt trade gibbs for pick 1.

but two number 16 picks, with a number 22 coming back (for instance?) i would do that

I read somewhere it was say pick 16 and next years first round pick and crows get Gibbs and next years second. Arguably next years pick say 22 will be better than this years 16. Makes me wonder why this wasnt taken last year though.

I thought that last year Carlton wanted 2 first round picks and we refused? Which is what I had heard we were taking today.

Mark Ricciuto‏ @markricciuto
16 this yr very similar to 19-24? (carl rd2) next yr, better draft.
Adel future 2nd (34?) not far off carl 3rd (40?).
Its 10 & slide 34 to 40

When you put it like that in theory it's a win-win for both clubs IMO.

So we have the mandatory 3 picks in the draft. Anyone else to be delisted? Maybe Jono Beech?

Guessing Smith will go straight on the Long Term Injury List so we can upgrade a rookie straight away

Assuming you can get almost as good a player with pick 21ish next year as you can with 16 this year, we basically traded him for pick 10.

People are attaching way too much value to “two first rounders” when one of them is pick 16 and Carlton are sending their second back
