Had a bet with a mate on the weekend that you'll win no more than 2 games .. Have always thought you won't go through winless, but my mate reckons you'll win at least 4

1-2 wins tops and that is if everything clicks. Wouldn't be shocked to not win a game

Be a shame to see Geelong's high score record broken to a Bombers match

yeah if they can get Bennell up and firing that would be massive.

But I just cant see them kicking too many goals this year. Thats what they needed last year, and I feel like they will go backwards in that regard before coming forwards.

Having said that they did miss ballantyne and walters for large chunks of the year.

They need someone like Taberner to kick 40 this year, and I dont see that happening.

They are too good to not play finals though. Probably still be pushing for top 4

Having a forward 6 that contains like Ballantyne, Pav, Walters, Bennell, Mayne & Fyfe is pretty damaging when they have the likes of Neale, Barlow, Hill and Mundy rotating through the middle feeding off Sandi is pretty handy.

Freo’s biggest issue is kicking goals, they might have a good midfield but they need to get goals on the board which they struggle with. They’re going to need a change in their game plan if they want step it up this year.

Very much so, they finished just outside the 8 with nobody winning contested ball. They've got Dangerfield ( the ex-Crow, you'd be familiar with him? ) and added another Selwood head to crunch packs. Add big man Zac Smith from Gold Coast and they might have a sound lead ruckman to win some hitouts to advantage.

Lets not forget, they have the best name on any AFL list at the moment, about to turn 20, 198cm, 96kg key forward Wylie Buzza, yep, Wylie Buzza could be an instant cult hero.

I had a bet with mate that they would finish last. He scoffed at the suggestion and we shook hands.

I'll be barracking hard for Carlton this year.

Them finishing last is the easiest bet you could make. Whether they win somewhere between 0 and 4 games is a bit harder to guess at this stage

Aren't the players appealing the decision via a Swiss court or something?

I heard something on the radio but generally switch off when I hear the word Essendon.

Don't anyone respond to LM's question, he started switching off as he wrote Essendon and he's unlikely to read your response ;)

Appealing only to clear their name, will not affect them playing this season as the appeal won't be heard until next year
