Has the potential that's for sure. If we keep Gov and he can't stay on the park than we are playing the kid anyway!

If we were to play him as the number 1 forward then i would say you're right but there is enough experience in the forward to help him IMO.

But it would have to be a very good deal for him to be traded and this is why clubs have list managers to make these tough decisions

He could be *ahem* the future of the club, yeah?

All he has to do is look big, crash a pack occasionally and kick a goal a game to be the No 1 forward doesn't he Boon ;)

And you’ve got to pay him $750k a year to do so ;)

That makes us significantly stronger imo.

I was dead against losing Mcgovern but due to his inability to stay on the park and our tall forward depth, i am starting to come around to the idea.

We already have a strong draft hand (as of round 20) - 7, 15, 19, 37

Add another decent pick in and we are in a good draft position.

Are there any decent free agents still uncontracted worth pursuing? (Besides the obvious Gaff/Lynch)

I wanted McGovern to stay more than Lever. To me he has a bit of forward line x factor about him. Really hope we can convince him to stay as I'm not sure Fogarty is really ready. We have a lot of tall forwards though & can't play them all together. Walker, Jenkins, McGovern, Fogarty & even Lynch won't work IMO.

All teams put faith in their youngsters, just need the mature bodies around them

Port has Marshall with Dixon around him.
Fancy being Hipwood at Brisbane with no one to help him.

Need to find a crumbing goal sneak forward for when Eddie retires.

Can see the Crows unloading McGovern and high pick(s) to get better draft positioning to get the higher end talent in the draft.

They'll only unload McGovern if they get lukosious in the deal.

Get the feeling that Eddie may play his last next week. I know he has 2 years on a contract but he looks gone.

Hasn't looked interested and hasn't looked like he's got the same ability to move laterally, can happen when you hit 30.

Nah I don't think so. He's mentally shot this year for all the reasons been discussed adneuseum in 2018...hopefully a freshen up over the summer will bring out better form in 2019. He's certainly not going to return to what he was like the four years prior though.

Is this your first attempt to deflect from Ports choke and only talk about other teams crowds?
