would be about the only player in that position that is an upgrade on lever so i like it. will believe it when i see it though. he would be on pretty big coin at WCE you would think, and the crows would likely have to pay him more and also satisfy west coast in a trade

I found out through a mate that if WC go into a rebuild mode Jeremey will want out. I got the info about Mitch’s Hamstring from the same person before it hit the media. So I reckon Jermey will be a watch this space.

He is a free agent in 2019 so it might be a wait and see for him what path they go down in 2018. I rate him as a 800k+ player!
Would be more of a chance to leave as a free agent in 2019 than next year you would think.

Reid on 5AA last night playing a straight bat. Reading between the lines the Crows will wait for Brisbane to come to us with their best offer for Cameron. Few irons in the fire but gave nothing away. Sounds like Essendon are keen on off loading Francis, i know we have been keen before he signed last year so reckon that might be a play late next week.

Reid also confirmed that Motlop hasn't had a contract put to him by the club and what was being reported was false, he said he toured the facilities today and if he was keen we would sit down with him.

What was also humorous, Graham Cornes said he asked Rob Chapman if the Crows offered Lever 350k....Chapman's response was "why would we offer him 100k less than what we are already paying him"!

Crows are very gun shy after the Gibbs thing last year, quite clear they have gone in with a strategy to publicly say nothing.

Even recent comments from Levers dad claiming he wants to go to MFC for family reasons and hopes that the Crows will "do the right thing" and get him there. Please. Why not throw that guilt trip on Melbourne and plead for them "do the right thing" and offer up what the Crows want to get him there.

Like it or not. The AFL is a business. Rarely is there any loyalty to the team or the player - its a two way street. If I am offered big coin to go to a competitor in my work industry and i accept. I am walked off site immediately. No chance to say goodbye to anyone. Hand in my phone, laptop and car and get your own taxi home. They will pay out my pay period and you're gone. Not saying I agree with it but this is kind of what happened with Lever and maybe will happen again in the future as players move more often for more money. One day we will probably be immune to it.
