Never mind the Hawks. You could send Melbourne out there with Cat jumpers on and they'd get the four points. It' s North under a roof that worries me.

We could just get Big Phil to change the date of the game to say, anyday in September and I reckon we might have those Melbourne Cats covered

As long as you call it a Qualifying Final you've got yourself a deal. ;)

Freo and Sydney have very strong claims and if Hawthorn are full tilt they are better than both these teams. These 3 are the only chance in my opinion.

Good call this but I reckon Hawthorn have got Freo covered. If we get a repeat of last year it's a repeat of last year's result. Freo will be hoping to run into Geelong rather than the Hawks.

In all Fremantle will win it all. Lyon is a very unique character and even Blighty lost 3 before he got up. They played terrible in the GF ly and lost by **** all. They are primed....

Hawthorn have just gone through too much shit this year to maintain it in my opinion. If you go through the shit in the first half the year and come good in the 2nd half its far different than going through it past round 12. Probably wrong as the missus always points out but that's why I call Freo v Sydney.

If we play the way we have been playing, we won't make it. If we do make it, we deserve it.

Isn't that what I said??

I think the top 3 have your measure, I think your about on par with the Kangas and Port and experience at crunch time against either Port or the 'Roos would get you over the line into a Prelim.

Saying that, if you end up 5th and get a Essendon, Collingwood or Adelaide first week you could be out there such is the even season we it is.

I think the Catters will be around week two of finals at least though.

How do you figure Hawthorn have our measure? They are still suspect against tall forwards and as long as McIntosh or Kersten or perhaps Taylor at a pinch can provide a second marking option I'm sure we can get the job done against them. I'd fancy our chances against any of the other three sides you mentioned as opposed to Port. As for the top three for some reason I reckon we can turn the tables on the Swans (well we certainly couldn't do any worse could we LOL) but we keep trying the same thing against Freo so that means a loss every time against the Dockers.

Cats need to keep winning and hope for a first up final against the Hawks and avoid an away final. If we play away it's game over for the Catters and if we play the Docks in the Granny it's a Docker premiership. In short, no flag for us this year.

REB

I was generalising, I don't think the Cats are quite up to the top 3 sides and are ahead of the next best 2 or 3.

Bolded Teams will be looking for a new coach if their teams don't play finals football.

Coleman - Riewoldt (Tigers still have zero other goal kickers)
Brownlow - Ablett (Barring Injury)
Rising Star - Martin (I'll buy the hype)
GF - Replay of 2013
yeah Sanderson will be sacked if crows miss the finals??
Just got two years added to his current contract.

Love this comment from the joker back in early 2014 (no joking!)

i think this finally might be the year that geelong start to slide a bit, but they have done so well managing their list, it wont be far, they will still be around the mark

st kilda to finish bottom

not too far off the mark. the crows should have played finals and lost too many games that they shouldnt have. (i did say in a later post that the crows youngsters were further along than ports, so i guess ill take a 1-all draw in my predictions haha)
