Relevance?

2/ pressure on AFC to retain an interstate star, this is a statement from them more than anything

THOUGHTS;

5 year deal is a long time for an inside midfielder who's 28 now - 33 in 2023?
The way he plays is collision/ contested based which generally shortens your playing career.
How bad is the foot injury?, generally this injury tends to hang around?
Cant see him part of the crow midfield at 32+, will he need to become specialist fwd, interchange, or back pocketer for final year/s?

Love the fact he's staying but feel Crows have gone all in with this deal, as dutchy said this deal is all about keeping one interstate star, don't think any other club would of put up 5 years for him, imo slightly overs..... 3 years and a review on 4th would of been most clubs offer.

The articles I read said hawthorn and north were the front runners but judging by rucci’s article today still referencing what the crows should do when he leaves are all likely made up

Not signed and we can't retain another player
Signed 2 years and he leaves after 2 years and he's not committed
Signed 5 years and it's too long for a 33 year in the last year

LOL

If he want's to just make up stories he should be on here.

Also hearing that the Crows have got Cripps from Carlton, McGovern from West Coast and Lynch from Gold Coast. Rioli will play in 2019.

All of Ruccis articles should start with "Once upon a time".

Sounds to me like Rucci has been stitched up good and proper by the AFC, they got their revenge i feel. A case of giving the guy enough rope to hang himself. They probably been sitting on the signing waiting for the Rucci article

Surely he's not that naive.
Seriously I think he makes stuff up to wind up crows administration.

I have no problem with the deal, I'm just explaining why I think the Crows have agreed to it.

We don't need inside mids, esp 29yo's, leave the cash for others.
