Snelling a fair surprise

Maximum of 3 years on the rookie list I think. Needed to be upgraded or cut

I can't believe Neade lasted as long as he did, I find it harder to believe that he picked up two Brownlow votes in his fifth game with 13 possessions in a 5 point win over West Coast @ AAMI.

Not overly surprised by any of them being delisted, Snelling perhaps a little bit as he's been on a slow build towards AFL football. I guess slow build isn't going to get you there though.

Looks as though Trengove, McKenzie and Ladhams will be given 1 year deals, I'm surprised Ladhams stays on given Ryder, Lycett, Frampton and then the likes of Westhoff, Howard, Dixon would all ruck ahead of him.

This is where Port/Ken are not ruthless enough, why keep Trengove and McKenzie on the list? Especially going into a supposed deep draft?

Being senior players they are cheap rookie cover in case of injury

With Pittard and Hombsch both gone we've lost some back half insurance.

DBJ Clurey Jonas
Hartlett Howard Burton

I'd expect the best back half looks like this, Houston and Bonner would fill the Hartlett spot until his return or be playing up the ground more.

The unlucky Leinert will go back to the SANFL, Broadbent is on the mend still so we don't know if he'll be back. We can give Trengove and McKenzie 1 year deals on base wage as insurance and I thought Trengove played his role when he came in last year.

Was offered a new contract aswell.
Was hoping he would stay on in some role as Draper has come on in leaps and bounds under his tutelage

Re: Menzel - I can't see why you'd get rid of someone because of their weaknesses when their 42nd player on the list wont even be good enough to play a game.

Makes zero sense to me.

Why wouldn't you play to your strengths?

Menzel is an odd one, as noted all over media circles he's better than most of Geelong's depth players.

Murdoch I'd almost take on a one year deal depending on who we secure in the draft.

I'd keep them on, would only be costing a packet of skittles and a can of fanta.
