No sour taste in my mouth. We were absolute shite on Saturday. Didn't deserve to win. I am quite confident we will be doing a bit more than you boys come finals though. Some may call that cockiness but I would back in our best v a lot of the comp's best. We just need to do it I guess but I am quietly confident. I went in the Hawks rooms after the game on Saturday and even got a high 5 from Clarko when he walked in the rooms before they were about to sing the song. It was my highlight of the day

For a fair chunk of last year we were in the best 2 teams.
The only question for me is how much of an impact losing Hodgey will have.
Gunston will play forward with Roughead, Breust, Rioli, Puopolo and Obrein/Sicily, the band wiill be back together.
Impey/Smith the outside runners
Defence will be sound enough, Stratton was a huge loss, Frawley, Birch, Hardwick and Burton very good
Midfield is our problem, but IF Jaeger plays 18 games we finish top 4 no doubt, probably need Langford or one of the rookies to have break out years

Well at least there's one genius amongst us

besides mitchell and omeara, who is the hawks midfield? looks very thin in there.

With roughy and burgoyne a year older, i cant see them continuing to have the impact they have had either.
Liam Shields isn't the worst... he is better than a few of yours!
More on the wing though right? Smith and shield are good wingers but depth in the midfield I was more thinking
Dont know why i bother with you blokes that dont watch anyone but the Crows but Shiels is a tackling machine in the mids, one of our taggers if the situation calls for it, hes a three time premiership player, but thats alright you Crows fans keep beating it over all your premiership players.
Id rather have our mids than yours with Sloane in it whos output relies solely on the whim of the opposition coach.
Maybe it's them not bothering with you because of statements like that?

There isn't a bloke in the football world who would want the Hawthorn midfield over Adelaide's.
Some very embarrasing statements in the 1st couple pages of this thread for all the usual suspects, bennymacca, booney, mw, brodlach, next tome dont let your hatred of me cloud your judgement or could it be that you all have NFI like ive been saying for 10 years????

Booney wrote:Yep, outside the 8. When looking at where I think sides will finish I always work backwards from the top down and see if I have them in the 8.

I don't see Hawthorn ahead of Adelaide, Sydney, GWS, Port, Richmond, Geelong, Essendon, Melbourne or the Bulldogs. For mine about where they were last year, around 8-10 wins tops.

Some quality additions to the line up coming back from injury, however still very reliant on a few guns to keep the back half in order and I think they'll struggle in the big man department in the middle and forward of centre.

1 from 8 Booney, i bow to your superior knowledge

The statement on North makes sense to me.

Are the other clubs trying to claim they make a loss on their machines?

No, they don't hold any licences, as North don't.

Why wouldn't they just lump them all together then. Seems weird that the author reported on them differently.
