Adelaide V Hawthorn

Talk on the national game

Being a night game at AAMI it may be difficult for both sides to kick over 100 pts, but your right, the crows challenge is to kick a winning score

Couple weeks ago, when Hawks played Carlton and Franklin was a late withdrawal, so called experts were askng the same question, how will the Hawks kick a winning score against Carlton, who at that time had a great month of footy

the answer, everyone needs to contribute

It's obvious the crows don't have a buddy franklin, so as the hawks did we need an even spread from Bock, Welsh, Roo and Burton,

The other issue, we are not getting enough goals from our midfielders / HF, players like Van Berlo, Rielly, Thompson, Proplyzia and Knights, need to start creating more scoring opportunities for themselves on a more consistent basis,

The scoreboard ticks over more freely when you have your runners start kicking goals, this comes back to style and game plan, we have only put it together twice this year

Goodwin must be doubtful

Apparently neither Douglas or Gill have been named for Glenelg or North this weekend - maybe Burton still doubtful?

You may be right - on TV, I only see him doing the odd good thing in short bursts. Then he has looked better than he does bottled up on the FF line. I'd have probably given him a shot at HFF before discarding him, but Roo gets priority there I think. I don't think Roo is fit enough, yet at least, for on the ball, nor big enough for the primary FF spot.

Welsh to the midfield, that is a bit out of left field

I think Douglas will play, Radar may be the one to miss

great for footy

been raining for the last 2.5 hours, windy, gale force

footy is a winter sport and should be played in these conditions, not under a bloody roof on cement

good first qtr by the crows, kicking in to the wing, lead by 19pts

Thompson 14 touches in the first, Goody and Edwards both had 10, Roo looks a lot more sharper

Hopefully we can hammer the advantage home in the second with the breeze

Crows will be the first top 8 side to beat the hawks this year

Dutchy,

any comments regarding the Hawks playing the flood in the 3rd, they are kicking with a four goal breeze, 6 goals down and they flood...

Now, if that was the crows, it would be open Duck Season
