I won't disagree with you as much there ....

I get sick of the Crows being singled out for something everyone does including the TEAM OF THE NEW MILENNIUM Cats :D

my point

recent teams that have played the cats have given the cats runners a free run through the middle corridor, the crows will ensure they will have players defending this particular zone, forcing the cats wide

last week against the crows, one area the crows were very poor was defending the middle corridor, Bruce and Green charged through at will, this is not flooding

Scoob

Every side in the AFL drops numbers behind the ball, including the Cats, but where the Cats are doing it much more better than other sides, is because of their quick direct ball movement and run from defence, the crows ball movement has been too slow

Want a real shoot out? Ban tackling, widen the goal posts, ban kicking backwards. That could be boring too!

close MW, good call!

Mighty Cats are now top of the table, blow the siren and call the season over! :D

Ironic or common sense that last year Cats played sideways backwards crap and didn't make the finals while the Crows played attacking footy and stiched the Cats up by over 90 pts at AAMI.
This year Craig has Adelaide playing backwards sideways crap and Thompson has Geelong playing play on exciting down the guts footy and Geelong are top.
Its not rocket science.

I think Demetriou can cal off the Salvos's and the tin-cans, the charge of the Melbourne-based teams is on lead by Geelong who on the last month's form would be favourite to make the GF this year.

Wedgie, you honestly think it's that simple? You honestly believe Craigy has chosen to abandon what got the Crows to the top of the table last season? If it was that easy .... (ie, 'boys go out today and be ... um .. attacking') ... wouldn't Craigy just do it?

No dancing on the grave mate ..... Well played Cats.

Pedantic?

Do you think that Murray Bridge teams are based in Adelaide too?

Its the same distance as Sydney to Wollongong or the Gold Coast to Brisbane. There's pedantics and there's basic geography mate.
I might start describing the Crows as being Alberton based or Elizabeth based as that's a lot closer to West Lakes than Kardinia Park is to Melbourne, Im sure you wouldn't mind that unless you were pedantic?

I can confirm that the denizens of Geelong would object to being called Melbournites!

Wedgie & Psyber

For god's sake ... a lot of recent threads on the AFL Board have been talking about Victorian-based teams and non-Victorian based teams. Sometimes the word 'Melbourne' has been substituted for 'Victoria' but everyone knows what we are referring to - the 10 clubs other than SA, WA, Sydney & Qld clubs.

I wish I'd just said 'Victorian-based' clubs now .....

And in future I'll be specific and say 9 Melbourne-based teams, 1 Geelong-based and 6 Non-Victorian based

It appears not - he can't heal the injured [and not yet recovered] and shouldn't put them on the field to be re-injured before they have recovered without divine intervention!

Thanks Dutchy that was all I was trying to say

Last week was similar for the Non-Victorian (and non-Geelong) teams and I almost posted similar then

I notice it because I have been dissing those teams this year but it looks to me like the wheel might be turning before Demetriou can build his 10 new gyms (or is it only 9?).
