He was never flamboyant, but pre-knee injury he most certainly was one of the elite defenders, I think even gained All-Australian honours?

Pre-Season is a fair scrifice in the AFL, and I think he has every right to feel hard done by ... Can appreciate Wallace's reasons, but there's no question it could have been handled better.

He has done extremely well out of the game for the limited ability he did have.... now I wish him well and hope to never see him again at the RFC.... He has cost us way to much loot and should have been cut years ago.....

Thats one way of looking at it, or you could blame those at the club that decided to part with the $$ for him.

Can never under estimate experience in a side - there has to be a balance of young and old !!!

Yesterday may of been the start of the end for some people @ the Tigers .
It is what it is !!!

The road back for Richmond will be to draft quality players and build a good side, the trouble being that has been their line to their members forever and a day. Some sides seem to be able to hit the bottom of the ladder and turn it around, yet Richmond seem to always be the strugglers in making the climb back up, I dont know how many, yet I seem to recall Richmond often finishing in the 9th-10th positions and that is as good as they seem to go.

I just wonder also how they compete with the Crows & Eagles in relation to getting a standard of training facilities and appropriate trainers and medical staff. I suspect that must put clubs at a disadvantage when trying to find consistant top eight form. The solution is more funds, yet the only way they are likely to achieve that would be a move to Tassie to be the Tasmania Tigers, yet it is a sure bet that although the membership of the club are often bitterly divided on various Richmond issues, there would be a unified "no" to that suggestion!

Surely with the number of supporters Richmond have they couldn't be struggling for a buck?

Thinking further into the reasons and explainations given for the Gaspar move, surely Richo must also be on his way out then despite the fact he is one of their best players?

I reckon I agree with that point booney, aside from Silvagni. That bloke was every bit a star and rarely moved away from full back.

Perhaps the exception proves the rule.

Gaspar was best and fairest in a season that Richmond made the Preliminary Final. At that point he had played six seasons for the Tigers, nabbing two All Australian guernseys. Sure, his injury sapped for a couple of years but last year he was a more reliable contributor. And his form this year was pretty reasonable. A couple of shocker years out of 11 full seasons. Eat their own down at Tigerland.

I hope you have a crack at the cash Nathan Brown is on when he resumes from his unfortunate injury woes because there'll be a fair chance that he will never be the same player again.

Dont mind spending the money on Browny....at least he can play the game.....
I am one of those tiger supporters who eat their own.... I have been continually let down by the boys and there is nothing more I like doing than getting with my tiger mates at the race at Docklands and giving them a hell spray when they come off the ground at the end of the game..... its a good stress release....

I wish I was there on Sunday night.....

How about winning?

With your sort of attitude it is very clear why the Richmond Football Club has been so average for so long. As a supporter there is nothing you like more than giving your players a "hell of a spray". FFS what a ridiculous comment.

I find I do it a lot.... we get that frustrated during a game it is good to let some steam off and let them have it after a poor performance..... I have been ejected by security from the ground several times due to my comments.... which I am not afraid to do....
If they won every week things would be fine.... I like getting into Richo the most coz he bites back on occasions.... we dont care...we pay our membership and dont deserve to be dished up this crap....
Its a great atmosphere when with 5 mins to go all the supporters come and gather around the race ready to let rip and the roar is awesome when we fire up and vent our spleen....
dont knock it till you have tried it....RR

Surely you are 'extracting the urine' ag? If not, as stated earlier, it is little wonder the Tigers are where they are.

How about this:

Support your team, and know that they aregiving their best for you, your club and each other every week. They are.

It is not the players fault recruiting has been poor and has not given them the tools required to win on a regular basis.Speaking of tools, how many of you catch up at the end of the game to "vent your spleen"?

Also, you get together with 5 minutes to go hey? Sounds as though you could do it at the 5 minute mark of the first quarter if your attitude towards your playing group is like that.

The problem with Richmond has just been made evident to all of us outside the "inner sanctum".

If Richo did bite back,I wouldnt go to the next family day,the big fella might have you,and so he should!
If you want to go quickly, go alone.

If you want to go far, go together.

If the last sentence has any truth then you should be shot. Not funny at all ag.

The rest of it beggers belief. And I thought the 15 inch shifting spanner I use to remove the tow ball from the car was a big tool.
