shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh....Ill blame you if we get done

8 goals to 4 at 1/2 time (well done BTW) .... Dutchy should I launch a "ruining football" thread re the low scoring? Maybe an inquisition into defensive football tactics?

In all seriousness, the Roos are this year's quiet achievers

Not with the current team in....get Ruccitio, Johncock, Bode, McGregor, Reilly, Porplyzia and the odds will shorten...
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

because IMHO he is in our best 22 especially when he plays CHB where with his hands he can set up play to the running defenders Johncock, McLoed etc...

they were probably thinking the same when the Crows left Pavlich for them in the draft...

In all seriousness McGregor might be getting quite frustrated....firstly last year now this year

McGregor needs a game or 2 for the Eagles Dutchy. The only reason he is even getting on the interchange list is the lack of fit players. He hasn't played all year.

You mean like Hawthorn? The teams that beat the Cats in those finals managed more than eight goals a week.

Dutchy

It's a bit unrealistic to consider Kenny for selection this week given he has had such a long lay off

McGregor is important to this team and it's structure for a couple of reasons

1. We do not have a big bodied CHB and have already been exposed against sides with couple of big forwards

2. Bassett and Stevens have filled the void at CHB, but both players play their best footy as the third tall, not as key position players

In specific to tonights game

In a nutshell the crows were pathetic and showed no respect to the opposition, couple key points

1. Burton, Edwards, Hudson and Torney do not look fit and this is reflected in their performance, in particularly Burton, he was Pathetic tonight

2. Discipline, the crows are too sloppy and continue to turn the ball over with sloppy free kicks, Thompson to his credit hs had a wonderful start to the year, but needs to tidy his game up

3. Key Forwards, Welsh got cained by a 4 game player and Bock continues to try and take chest marks on the lead instead of in the hands, all forward worth their salt on a night like tonight should have the ability to take the ball in the hands, Bock gives his opponent too much of a look at the footy

4. Craigy, I have always supported Craigy but he needs to improve as a match day coach, for the first half Craigy refused to play a cruming player up forward and we continually had no one at ground level front and centre. In addition can someone tell me if Hinge was injured in the second half, his start was promising, then he did not return, why not throw the kid up forward, why not play Macca and Goody out of the goal square, FFS Craigy, your faith in the players is your strength but at times it can also be your weakness, you need to have the courage to change the mix when things are not working

5. Players under the immediate Microscope, Welsh, Torney, Shirley, Stevens and Doughty, if Burton is not fit, well lets not play him

6. Positives, Knights, take a bow, you are turning in to a "GUN", also thought Goodwin and Edwards tried hard, Perrie's best game for the year

Best thing about footy, you get another opportunity next week

The forward line is a key weakness for us at the moment as well as the delivery to the forwards ... more times than I can accept Perrie was reaching for a 3 metre mark or trying to grap the pill off the half volley. Welsh 1 goal, Bock no goals - not enough from key forwards. 2 losses at home in first 6 weeks to teams expected to finish outside the 8 is not a good start. Forget the top 4, we are in a scrap just to make the 8 as I see it.

SD....Why did they take McGregor to Perth last week rather that let him have a game in the SANFL??? We all know he was ready to go last year and didnt get picked....

How did Hinge go? Didnt watch much of the Crows game as my priorities were elsewhere! but interested in how he went

IMHO found the pace a bit hot and missed a few targets. hesitated a bit when a confident run at the footy would have won possession.

Okay but best described as a learning experience....

Gee how many times did we try to lay from behind or out body an opponents in teh forward line but got found wanting. Mind you with teh delivery of the ball on to the top of our forwards heads rather than out in front they didn't have much choice.

Bock he was great when the ball was on the ground - a couple of good pick ups and gives but as a marking option.....OMG

Anyone else apart from me laugh at the traditional umpires boo at the end of the game in response to the free kicks (lack of to the Crows from one umpire) despite the fact we played sh!t footy and were 2nd to the footy most of the night, hence we didn't earn our fair share of free kicks...

Didn't exactly laugh .... but did groan inwardly, bit embarrassing on National TV for the home crowd to do that when we were clearly outplayed on the night
