Wanye Carey just tries to be controversial... what makes him an expert in journalism.. sure enough in footy. He absolutely bagged the crap out of C7 for reporting Nick Stevens could miss the year with a neck injury, then C9 interview him and said he would play this week (keeping in mind most players with injuries say that) - maybe he should learn hold his attacks off til you he is sure he is right. Not a fan of the show, has nothing on the old fox footy shows... plus it is hard to watch caro!!!

FWIW, I must admit that Caro has grown on me.
At first years ago on Talking Footy, I felt that she was trying too hard to be accepted by the media and fans alike but now I think she raises some good points, asks good questions and has been proven right on things that she was ridiculed for at the time i.e. the St Kilda "search" for a coach at the end of 2001. I Don't look upon her as being any less deserving than anyone else in the footy media now.

The guy would've been great on TV in the 70s.

His latest comment - admittedly not on Footy Classified - about Nathan Thompson is just a joke.

And his continual griping at people in the media is also grating. Apparently they've got no credentials to talk about footy, but he's got enough to sit there and tell them how to do their job....

There are no footy shows on tv that are worth watching, IMO.

Agree with you about Carey's comments DW. His initial comments had some validity, but were delivered poorly. The 'off air' comments were just appalling.

But he has always come across as a red-neck, trying to supress himself and 'be cool'.

Watched it a couple of times at a mates place a while back, wasn't particularly impressed but it's OK - had forgotten about that one (no fox at home, one of those who refuses to pay for television - just stick an ad in it to pay for it!).

Footy Classified isn't too bad, but they spend too much time talking about off field issues such as board meetings for my liking. On the Couch sticks to on field issues and as a result is a much better program.
