Positive thinking- Norman Vincent Peale style? :D

One thing that is great about Geelong is that we have our own home ground that is truly our own. We dont play finals on the Crows home ground to 29 000 people and try and pretend that we have some type of affinity with it.

I like the Geelong Guernsey as it is the same as the original South Adelaide Guernsey, yet what is great about that is that we can do what we like with it, rather than having to having to get the permisson of the Collingwood football club to approve what we do anytime a decision has to be made as is the case with any decisions taken at the so called Power.

it would certainley be a point that there is nothing great about being a club that is dictated to constantly by Collingwood, the genuine working class Black and White Magpies.

If you are referring to the horizontal striped jumper it was adopted by South during the late 1950s, about the time Norwood had Alan Killigrew coaching and adopted a Melbourne style jumper for a while. The South jumper prior to that was navy with white trim. That period was the lowest ebb of SANFL - aping the VFL in all things.

Knocked out of his hands??? He must spend a lot on glasses and crockery!

Point is Corey shouldnt have smacked the ball out of his hands. Its a 50 metre penalty every day of the week. As it turns out it didnt change the result, but it was a stupid thing to do.

Mate Chad dropped it red hot. No wonder the ball was so wet he needed a towell. Justice was served.

When Port Adelaide entered the AFL,unlike any other 'expansion' club that entered,we were unique. The only real Football CLUB to enter the biggest league in the land. This meant certain sacrifices had to be made, not all I agreed with,or liked, but some had to be made.

As you would also know, this entry was based upon the success we had over many decades in the SANFL,both on and off the field, that is sadly where this argument ends,as I fail to see where you could possibly understand the meaning of success and how it impacts upon your club.(Well mine, not so much yours.)
If you want to go quickly, go alone.

If you want to go far, go together.

Since when did OT in the pre season comp change?
I always thought it was first score wins?
Hawthorn & WC did this late '80s if I recall. :-k
If one person does it, it's insanity. If millions do it, it's religion.
