PUUUURRRRRRRRLLLLEASE!

I cant believe,no,I dont believe some one as intelligent as you would possibly contemplate making such a statement! No,I wont have it,Wedgie,it appears as though someone has cracked REB's log-in code and has made this post under his identity.

To consider cracking a chubby over a kid who played one game against Richmond,RICHMOND FFS as "ready to play senior football" is a big,big call.Even in an internet forum.

I guess that's what happens when you are gracious to Port, people question your intelligence heh heh. Don't you think Selwood will play senior football this season Mr Boon? I think he will. OK, maybe not in round one but sometime during this season at least. As you know I've been a Cat fan for a long time and I can't remember to many if any draft picks that I could say that about, maybe Kane Tenace but that's about it. We haven't had much joy in the draft (father-sons aside) due to our penchant for consistently finishing mid-table but I reckon this kid will be a steal for the Cats. To quote Boston, it's 'More than a feeling' (no chubby but, every Cat fan's enthuisiasm for anything is tempered after last year's freak out!).

REB half the Port fans out there couldn't even spell gracious let alone understand its meaning. I've got Port supporters getting stuck in to me over the NAB cup result. PPFFFFFFFFhahahaha.
Congrats Port your reward is............ Go and play in DARWIN.
Selwood obviously comes from good stock and looks a good size as well. Would be unlucky to not start in round one for the Cats if he holds that form.
There was a couple of performances from a few draft picks that would of raised a couple of eyebrows about the place. What about young Lindsey Thomas for the Kangaroos? Very impressive.
Good to see Marc Murphy back playing and getting a bit of the footy. Earily days and all but you would be fairly happy to see Murphy and Gibbs in the middle if you were a Carlton fan.

Impressive early form by both of them, keep in mind both Port and the Cats (IMO) will be in the 8th-12th bracket.Making it somewhat easier to crack into the senior side, more so than if they were at Freo or West Coast or Sydney.

I reckon Cats will go a bit better than 8-12, 5-8 for mine. At least I get to see them this week. Had to wait until 10pm on Sunday night last week..and I'm a FOX subscriber! GRRRR! :x

Ah halo, Booney is not your average Port Neanderthal, even if he was unbearable during the nineties when the Pies were regularly winning flags LOL. I don't think Port would mind going to Darwin either as they don't have the luxury of having 50,000 bandwagonners buying merchandise and knitting rugs at Girlee Stadium. Some clubs actually have to sell the brand and Darwin is a great place to do this.

I did only say HALF of them REB. Good to see young Boack has been named on an extended bench for Port this weekend. With the predicted temp in the mid thirty's ( OUCH) we should get some idea of weather or not it was a good decision to take him (instead of Selwood). The one thing about Port is their recruiting has always been top notch. For them to take this kid instead of Selwood means they know something we don't. Let me make onething clear to REB. When you keep putting 40000 plus spectators in a stadium week in week out at what point do you stop calling them BANDWAGONNERS. I thought the definition of a bandwagonner was someone who jumped on when thing go well and jumped off just as quick when they aren't going so well. Interesting that the Crows can still fill AAMI when in the bottom four and our cross town rivals vary by 10000 to 15000 people depending on where they sit on the ladder and what the ticket prices are. Who are the real bandwagonners.

Time for a serious comment - I agree with you there Halo, with Adelaide being a two team town, the majority of people are going to support one of two sides. I cant see how that makes people bandwagoners - really it is no different than Geelong, a one team town. A certain percentage of supporters of all clubs will be fair-weather fans, so it makes sense that the more supporters you have, the more fickle supporters you will have. I would guess that Geelong people are very parochial, just like Adelaide people, and would support almost anything local, just on a smaller scale due to population.

Not sure how that equals bandwagoners :-s
Anyway, every club has to start somewhere - perhaps a similar perception was made of Geelong back when they were formed. The way i see it is dont waste so much time and energy worrying about others - support your own team (they need it mate  ), and maybe seek some help with your unresolved issues with the Adelaide and Port Adelaide footy clubs, it worries me

You can keep your version of touchie feelie football 'support'. Part of supporting your own team is sledging the teams you hate, it's called PASSION you dimwit  . Clubs that have been around five minutes have stadiums full of supporters ALL BARRACKING FOR THE SAME TEAM (Here we go Car brand Crows Car brand Crows). Sorry felcher but you appear to be the archtypal Bandwagon Cows fan I was speaking of. But don't worry - school's in! 8)

Nah, it's more to do with what happened to the Redlegs when the Cows were formed and the amount of coverage you get in the Crowtiser, hype just sickens me, if I lived in Geelong I would probably barrack for someone else as they get the same level of saturation in their fishbowl. It took the genius of Blight to get you over the line in the 90's but Craigy won't get you there I feel, unless you are a ruckman and in that case you might get a game come August. All the best with your AFL career.

Time will tell with Craigy - will admit im not 100% convinced myself, not doubting coaches ability, but more worried with the reliance of too few to get across the line. But still, reckon we are around the mark.
Do you reckon 5ft10 is too short to ruck. Might head down West lakes way after work, you never know...

What happened to the redlegs when the Cows were formed. WTF!!!!!!!
The Crows emerging SAVED Norword from a very embarasing situation from which they (Norword) would have never recovered. If your a Norword supportor you should not be making ordinary statements like that. [-X The thing about newspapers REB is they only print what sells newspapers.....end of story. If people in SA didn't want to read about the Crows or the Power do you honestly think anything would be printed? I do see your point on the newspaper coverage but don't blame the footy clubs for that, comercial factors are at play there not footy politics or persuasion. (unless that bloody Michaelangelo Rucci is writing about Port Adelaide)

Unfortunatly REB the Crow (and to a lesser extent Power) mad South Aussie Footy followers want to read that stuff. The advertiser just supplies the demand. I remember a game eairly last season in which the Western Bulldogs went to Brisbane and won by a couple of kicks late in the game. IT GOT A TOTAL OF ONE PARAGRAPH IN THE BLOODY PAPER. Port Adelaide got their backsides handed to them and there was a double page spread on what had gone wrong. It's not right but it will never change........ and I'm sure the other papers around the country do the same thing. Unfortunatly REB the only thing you can do about it is not read the paper. As for the Norword thing I'm curious............ How exactly did a club that was not yet formed do anything to upset Norword. If you are going where I think your going with this REB then I would suggest your gipe is more with the SANFL management of the era NOT the Adelaide Football Club.
