Why wouldn't we "chase" Sporn? We reared him, & lost him to the AFL system- his father & uncle also played for North, I believe.
It would be negligent of North to not talk to him.

I think he is AFL quality, and hopefully Port will pick him up. The switch from Melbourne to Adelaide will do him good.

Fanning played a few games a year or so ago. I would be surprised if he isnt picked up by someone. Is he too old to rookie list?

I was surprised at Fanning's delisting, as I was with Julian Rowe, but I don't get to watch too many games.

Please not Gardiner, Please not Gardiner

Postby Rik E Boy » Tue Oct 31, 2006 12:25 pm

The Cats have delisted Paul 'Westies' Koulourits and Matthew 'can mark can't kick' McCarthy. Now that Bomber is staying that means Charlie 'Knock me over I'm a ninepin' Gardiner will stay to my immense frustration.

New Captain Tommy Harley has been winning brownie points with the playing group by dropping off Charlie Gardiner in front of Arden Street but the dumb pooch keeps finding his way back to Geelong.

REB

no shelter at Arden street, only the smell of burnt ashes...given him credit he must be pretty good to dodge all the cars with Geelong stickers on the Princess Hwy...

Brad Smith, poor bugger.

Two seasons, 2 ACL's, no matches.

He should have come to the Bay, it would not have turned out worse!
He's still my hero even if he is a little bit crap.

Um, he did the following year....
One of the most disgraceful decisions I've seen, Cloke getting reported for that spoil.
& to be suspended was a joke.

Must not have done a great deal if I cant recall him playing, was that the year they got absolutely anally jammed by Brissy? Sucked in, he is a joke and can get fat and old playing in country victoria now for all I care. Good luck to any AFL clubs that wanna pick up a hack who will supposedly be decent cos of who his father was!!!
