When the Australian cricket team paraded next to a hand that held up four fingers after they won the series 4-0 against England a few years ago.

This, I was F***ing embarrassed to be an Australian cricket supporter when I saw that. Proof that what happened four months later wasn't just limited to the Australian Cricket team but the whole CA

AFL had to borrow money to run the season but can afford to run a truck 2000km up the road with a patch of grass onboard

Clearly it's a Rebel Sport marketing campaign and they're getting maximum exposure.

Whilst I think it's a load of wank the AFL need money, Rebel would have given them money and the AFL is a commercial entity that needs funds now more than ever. Football sold it's soul years ago, you just need the right price to get what you want out of it.

Obviously I'm still a bit annoyed that my team didn't make it but I must take my hat off to both Richmond and Geelong, we all analyse the fixture when it comes out each season and they come out with graphs and difficulty levels, that got all blown out the window early in the season and each team only played 4 games in their home state.

To manage a top 4 finish was exceptional, to both win away prelim's was just as brilliant, I now suck it up and focus my attention on seeing Geelong take it out for the little master, to have a premiership medal awarded to you in your final game would be a very fitting finish to someone who has provided us with some absolute magic.

We've been pretty blessed in the 2000's with superstars like Judd, Ablett, Fyfe and Martin along with a few others, I wonder how Neale will compare at the end of his career, Fyfe will be the numero uno in my perception.

If Dusty can become the first person to take home 3 Normys he’d probably head that list for mine (even without it he might anyway)

I say this with all the sincerity in the world, they can both get f*cked. Only good thing to come of this is one will lose.

all the focus is on the 'night grand final' and half time entertainment and not the footy itself.

I couldn't give a rats about half time entertainment - that's when we go for a few dobs of the footy and try and do halftime heroes (which these days is limited to trying to take a one hander and not injuring myself in the process).

Or spilling your beer.

I agree, I couldn't give a toss who they have at half time, I'm not sure that I've ever listened to a half time song.

Flights booked, accommodation sorted. Tickets being bought in half an hour or so.

It clearly won't be the same experience as 100,000 at the G but I'm trying to be excited to be part of the most 'different' GF in the game's history. If we win, I definitely won't care.

Anyone been to The Gabba and can recommend a bay to watch the game from? Usually it's a ballot for what seat you get at the G but I think we can pick and choose a bit more this year.

Clarko said it best in June, “No disrespect to Geelong but they’re not that good”

Richmond to put forward their case to be considered one of the great teams of our generation this Sat night.
