Booney earlier rounded JJ's tackle average from 1.9 down to 1 to make a point so assumed that near enough was good enough?!

Either that or i was in and out of my desk too fast and misread the figure whilst trying to be a smart arse and f**@ed it up spectacularly?!

Personally, I like the use of my following Booney rounding down excuse a little more but i'll let you guys be the judge... ;) 8)

I said "1" in total mate, not 1 per game.

I'm offended that you think its funny to make jokes about a person potentially caring for another during their time of need. You promoter of people dealing with issues alone!!! ;)

I wasn't a huge fan, probably because I used him in Supercoach a few times.

He definitely was a livewire, could turn a game on it's head within minutes, I do have enormous admiration for his 4.55 tackles per game though, remarkable for a genuine small forward.

Perhaps a little OTT, to be honest.

it's debatable that anyone else would've won a premierships in the last 10 years if he averaged over 20 possessions a game.

As Dunstall said yesterday he's the player of the last generation that transcends stats, a nudge here to create a possession, a tap here to give him more time and put the opposition out of position, his off the ball running and the space he created for his teammates.

His ability to score or put his teammates in a position so the team scored was elite..

Best player of the last 20 years, IMO, for his offensive and defensive work.

All this with dodgy 'strings

No chance.

But then again, imagine the coin he has gotten used of.

Nah, IMO.

He reminds of Gilchrist in his last test and that catch he dropped on day 1 and his shoulders dropped.

10 years at the elite level, do I want to do all the work I have to do to perform at this level?? (back related hamstring issues - rehab) Nup, time to pull stumps. move back home after 14 years in Melbourne (boarding school then Hawthorn) and live the life he's missed.

Goose season is about to open in the top end, fishing for barra in the mangroves on Bathurst is with his cousins and uncles, hang out at Casuarina, (hey ;) ) play for Saints or the Bombers in the NTFL and then maybe play at Souths in the WAFL like his Uncles did or maybe Thunder with his cousins Ben and Shannon in 2019.

He's done from the AFL after almost 190 games, four flags, all Australian honours and a norm smith.

Retires the same day someone claims 55 million in Melbourne on powerball from a month ago. Coincidence?

Good post, Bays.

By no means in the ilk of Buddy, GAJ, Judd etc, but he is in a league of his own when discussing impact players. Rarely wasted a possession, and his defensive attributes were elite.

I'll miss his 23% win rate against Geelong.

For some reason Cyril rarely played well against the Cats.

Except in games between the two sides that mattered.

His performance on GF day in 2008 isn't justified on the stat sheet.
