Phantom Gossiper wrote:Not all is lost for WC I think, they suffered with their shots on goal Sat and the loss of Priddis early hurt them more than people realise and left them effectively 1 down on the bench.

They played Carlton the week before who haven't played bad of late and needed to win to stop the vultures circling down Princess Park after all the hype pre-season.

Thow in the injury list they are carrying:

Mark Nicoski (hamstring) 3-4 weeks
Brant Colledge (jaw) 2-3 weeks
Nic Naitanui (groin) 2-3 weeks
Andrew Embley (foot) 1-2 weeks
Murray Newman (knee) 1-2 weeks
Patrick McGinnity (back) test
Eric Sheppard (shoulder) test
Sharrod Wellingham (ankle) test

5 in bold will be significant ins.

Ill still back the Eagles in to make the 8.

Also need to remember Glass and Waters were on that list before this week. So Eagles definately have been a long way from full strength.

Yeah i still think they're a big chance to make the 8, but need to start making their move soon..

Surely he wont get rubbed out for that bump!?! Then again who knows what the AFL think these days, i'm still trying to work out how Vince gets let off for his hit against Port but Thompson gets done for his hit against the bulldogs :?

Disgrace if he gets done for that, fantastic bump. Never want to see that disappear from the game

I just watched Glass' bump and that was **** all.

If the Port player didnt stay down like a bitch, Glass probably wouldve got off. You'd wanna think so anyway.

worst report i've seen. stewart had just been crunched before the incident which played a part in looking worse then it was. What amazes me was the umpire only reported glass when he saw stewart still on the ground. Isn't it also a automatic 50mtr penalty when your reported? only thing for me was it was a bit late but the kick down field which was paid should of been it. hope he appeals it.

They shouldve sent the Port player off because it looks like hes knocked out. That'll stop idiots faking it.

no, if there was no free beforehand, the report makes it a free kick. If there was already a free paid, the report makes it 50m

glass appeal was successful now able to play this week. just makes the MRP look even more of a joke, initially giving a guy 3 week and then it gets thrown out, how did he even get 3 weeks in the first place.
