I didn't watch as much of 360 as I would have liked last year as I think it's quality, will try and watch more this year, w

Best news I've heard in a while, I used to love Sandy's commentary. Be interesting how he goes these days.

I'm not a fan of Sandy Roberts.

If he's callling a game with McGuire, it will be unbearable.

His voice was annoying, he'd be changing the tone up and down continually for no reason.

He also had no real knowledge of the game, he was in a similar category to Peter Landy and Drew Morphett.

Of the 3, I'd probably prefer Morphett.

I agree with Landy, he was clueless.
Drew Morphett though is an icon - would have to be my favourite commentator of all time.

No, Eddie's a great commentator. One of the few who rips into the umpires at times, doesn't try to be funny and doesn't call with his hand on the knee of the commentator sitting next to him ala cometti/bruce.

McKenna was ok, although a little biased, but then again most commentators are accused of this.

Apart from Eddie's Collingwood bias, the issue I have with his commentary is the way he goes way over the top with the hype.

Tony Shaw is similar to Ian Healy, in that they dribble so much irrelevant and ignorant bullsh1t.

Landy and Roberts, both have no real idea about the sport itself. Morphett was slightly better.

McAvaney was good 15 years ago, but is a caricature of himself these days. Commetti heading down a similar track in recent years.

Glad I'm not the only one who thinks this. Channel 9 need to get him off air ahead of next summer.
Just yuck.

I didnt mind Peter Landy either. He stuck to calling the game and didnt digress into pretending to know what the players were thinking/trying to do.

Maybe I'm stuck with the romanticism of Pre sanitised footy.

Terry Wheeler was pretty bad, Drew Morphett I liked, Don scott was awful. Robbo wasnt the best but he did get excited which sometimes made thing better (eg the commentary for Micky McGuane's goal of the year).
