#1. - Someone has to look at dollars out compared to dollars in.

#2. - First look.... - Wages, on and off the ground.

#3. - Hmmmm... - Lets look at company cars. How many...?

#4. - Credit Cards. Lets do away with them. How Many?

#5. - Lets put a cap on anything free to anyone.

#6. - No Perks ANYMORE.

#7. - 25% wage cut to all employees. No EXCEPTIONS. If you don't like it leave.

#8. - No-one has a company mobile phone.

#9. - You want to park in the Port Adelaide Grounds, then there will be a charge. $25.

#10. - No-one fly's free to interstate games. There will be a surcharge of $100. And accomodation (if neccessary will be paid by the club).

THIS IS 2012 GUYS

Lets make it manditory that all people under the age of 25 are allowed into Port Games Free. :D :D :D
Smile :)

It's only Money $$$ :)

What is happening to our SANFL guys...

North Melbourne average crowds are 28000 per year 5000 more than ports.

Only gold coast and gws attract less people than port.

Before the introduction of gold coast and gws port had the lowest attendance of any afl club for 3 seasons.

Clubs have survived ports situation by making cuts to its football dept spending to help the balance sheet.

Port is doing the opposite because port fans refuse to stay loyal when it's team doesn't win.

And with port fans confidence in Adelaide Oval being the answer decreasing. They need a miracle.

Not for the first time, you are talking out of your arse. It doesn't matter what club you are...if you have several poor seasons your attendance figures will drop. Watch Richmond's crowd figures grow if they start becoming regular finalists. How can you possibly be in a position to judge the loyalty of another club's fans?

With Tippett copping an 11 week ban, he isn't available to round 13 (round 12 sydney have the bye). Thats assuming he gets to Sydney as desired.

This game is against Port at AAMI Stadium. Surely this is a great marketing exercise for the Power people to get as many crows supporters to their game as possible?

I would think every Crows supporter will be hoping for a Power win that day. This could be great timing for the power i reckon. Any attendance is a good attendance

You should have the courage to leave your initial post up instead of coming back to water it down.

"It doesn't matter what club you are...if you have several poor seasons your attendance figures will drop. Watch Richmond's crowd figures grow if they start becoming regular finalists."

He didnt say Port winning more games = $4.5m. Not the best at comprehension, are you?

So why are port leaking $4.1 mill a year ??? What's your and rebs theory please enlighten ??
Its Not my fault reb cried and my post got deleted.

I'm happy to stick by my original question ??? Why is it port has consistently worse crowds than w/bulldogs Melbourne freo and north Melbourne if it's just due to on field success.

I'm happy to ask again if port will only be profitable when they are successful onfield. Is the afl model the best one for you.

Didn't think you were the type that would just sit around and fight around for useless scraps off port adelside carcass.

Let me guess you have no real point to add to the argument ???? Just another pathetic attempt at chest beating about how port aren't really that useless and everyone's supposedly wrong ???

Wonders to self if booney will finally enlighten us his theory as to whatis wrong with port adelaide ?? Atleast been real has a theory . Albeit a ridiculous one.

Poor on field performance = lower crowds.
Lower crowds + lower membership = lower revenue
Lower crowds + rubbish stadium deal = lower revenue
Lower crowds = rubbish time slots and draw = lower sponsorship = lower revenue
Paying out previous coach truck load of money = money for nothing

My chest is hurting now.

I think booney has provided a high level guide of how to lose money!

Still my original comment remains about port looking at north at what they have achieved.

The the stadium deal is an issuebit 4.1 mil worth of an issue?

I agree, North have done very well over the past 3-5 years and it has taken them that long to even begin to dig themselves out of a very bad position, as it will with Port.

The stadium deal, as I detail above, is just a portion of our over all problem. I think part of most SANFL/SMA/AFL/Port seeing Adelaide Oval as a boost in revenue will be in sponsorship, a "clean skin" stadium that can be seen as a Port venue every other week might just appeal to sponsors a little more and with ( I sure hope ) improved on field performances this revenue stream can be increased.

Sure, sponsors wont be giving us $4m per year and I dont want to knock Bill Vis and V.I.P, but they aren't really the multi-national sponsor clubs crave. He, along with many other great SA companies have backed Port and I hope they continue to do so. We just need to land a big fish soon.

If you want to go far, go together.
