What a load of crap. Bomber Thompson would still have us doing 200 handballs a game.

All iffs and buts, If Bomber hadnt coached you guys maybe this would have been your first flag since 64.
You guys are quick to forget all the good work he did for your club

thats correct jim05, so dont compare. Chris Scott has done a huge job and should get some pats on the back.all i can say this team/club is awesome

Mate I've had nine hundred beers and I've still got more of a clue than you.

1. Geelong won in 1963 not 1964.
2. Bomber had a little help from Costa, Cook and Wells.
3. We had Bomber last year and his high handball style got us as far as the Prelim final when Collingwood absolutely pantsed us.
4. This year Scott kept what worked and had us kicking longer = PREMIERSHIP.

Us Cat fans will never forget what Bomber did but the reality is that last year he lectured Gary Ablett all about Loyalty when he knew he was going to Essendon and by the time the finals came around he didn't want to be at Geelong. He diminished his own legacy at our club by the way he went about things last year.

Not denying what Bomber did was a dog act and I would be feeling the same if it happened at my club but my fact still stands that he won 2 flags for you and broke a long barren spell so i think he deserves a little bit of respect. Yes you got flogged in the Prelim and his game style wasnt flash last year but in the end you were still better than 12 other sides last year.

Respect is earnt...or lost through your actions. My comment was more in reply to daics' comment than meaning to be a dig at Bomber. The club is always bigger than Gary Ablett Jnr or Bomber Thompson..I mean than the individual.

That is so true, the club is always bigger than the individual, Geelong have moved on to bigger things.
I think thats the way our great sport is headed, with free agency and the like we will end up like soccer where guys change clubs every couple of years, unfortunately loyalty will be dead within a few years

dont follow the cats.
thompson plus costa / balme etc turned this club around. i love the way this side plays. tough hard and good old accountable footy. Scott has re enforced these things which has kept this side at the top and added more which we blokes wouldnt know about. Amazing there is only one team in the AFL that resembles the old suburban footy clubs and HOW GOOD ARE THEY?

Sean dempster doesn't have the best skills but to say he gas little talent is harsh. He always plays his role. And internally st kilda and Sydney lloced him

Finished 3rd in our B+F this year. Says a bit about St K's year though

Will be interesting to see how he goes under a new coach. One of those "role players" that was adored by RL.

Bryce Gibbs always looks like a little school boy next to his (her name escapes me). Like he has the keys but doesn't know how to drive yet.
