i give the Hawks a huge show, if they can make it a shootout they can win. Collingwood arent in great form, and Hawks can play a similar game plan to the one that Geelong employed in Rnd 24

I honestly believe that the Hawks just might play them into form- they weren't that convincing over Sydney, Sydney were just woeful early on, and had Jesse White kicked or set up a goal just before 3/4 time (reducing the margin to 2 goals), I think the game might have had a different outcome. The lack of conversion seemed to halt there momentum.

Interestingly enough, the majority of Collingwood's finals wins have been against interstate teams- whether in Melbourne or Interstate.
IIRC, St Kilda in last years GF is one of few.

Last years finals series was all Victorian clubs. Western Bulldogs, Geelong, St. Kilda.

I hope Hawthorn sneak through. 8)

Who cares? Unbeaten against both this year. I'm more worried about the Eagles. I never hope Hawthorn win anything but it would be nice to roll them again in September.

GO CATS.

Bit hard to beat them again in September when the GF is in October REB. Another month the Hawks can own the cats in 8)

im hoping hawks midfielders can limit the amount of ball the pies forwards get, the need to stop the supply because i dont think the hawks defenders will be able to stop the pies scoring if its down their plenty.

buddy and rioli obviously need to fire, but i think the key is the midfield

Pies by plenty. Their tall forwards will destroy the Hawks. Pies by 60 plus.

I reckon they're no show. Buddy is not fully fit and he's been in hospital all week with a stomach bug. He won't get a kick. One area that Collingwood are vulnerable is in the ruck IMO but Hawthorn don't have the capacity to expose them there either. They've got no one for Cloke and the Pies have other talls in Dawes and Brown who can also terrorise the small Hawk defence.

That chip chip woodchip game relies on a high kicking efficiency and the Pies are masters of forcing the opposition into error. Add to that the fact that the Hawks have had to do it 'the hard way' and battle through the semis while the Pies enjoyed the week off and it all adds up to a comfortable Collingwood victory.

DOH forgot the Granny was in October this year.

Another month the Hawks own the Cats in? You're a slow learner bloods I told you on FB about the overall stats and they look pretty fine for the Catters. Now pay attention young man.

If Hawkins can expose our lack of height then Cloke, Brown and Dawes shouldnt have a problem.. :(

Apart from this year, Hawks recent record is good against the Pies.

Can't win unless Buddy kicks minimum 5.

I lot of people just haven't been paying attention this season. Seriously now how about tipping with your head rather than your heart? It's finals after all.

Collingwood by 256 points.
