Marc Murphy won carltons b&f. Good result as this guy will begin to take over from Judd as the leader of this team over the next tear or so.

DANIEL Wells' breakthrough 2011 season has been rewarded with his maiden North Melbourne best and fairest award.

In Wednesday night's Syd Barker Medal count, Wells finished in a tie with Andrew Swallow, who claimed his second North best and fairest following his 2009 win and third-place finish in last year's count, one vote behind joint winners Brent Harvey and Brady Rawlings.

Well done Boris. Just so dependable and yet a couple of times a year he gets the 'overrated' tag thrown at him. Underrated if anything.

Slightly off topic - interesting to note that in Sheehan's top 50 only one Geelong player made the top ten. He had that overrated plodder Sam Mitchell at nine and Bartel at 20. Turn it up.

And Joel Corey 48 - very strange that he thinks Leon Davis is better?

I reckon that Sheehan's cracks are starting to show.

Oh, someone didn't rate a Geelong player. *sob* Boo friggin' hoo.

What do you rate more, a premiership or some pen pusher "rating" one of your players? FFS...

So not even the Geelong coaching hierachy think Bartel is the best player in the competition???
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

I think coaches view players a lot differently than umpires. Coaches are more likely to recognise achievements like keeping a player quiet or creating opportunities for others etc.
