No its not. But it has been confirmed that indigenous dont like being referred to by this name as it demeans them. If you say that to one of them on the field i believe you would get a lengthy holiday.

My wife works in a goverment job agency in the northern suburbs and deals with the indigenous every day and one of the main questions on all the forms is "are you of aboriginal or torres straight island heritage?"If the government cant get it right how do you expect your average joe to?
They prefer the above rather than 'indigenous'. So the form is correct, they would find are you indigenous? offensive
