The biggest thing for Mick, i doubt he will take a salary cut, so is their any club that can afford him? $900-1mil a season?

If he wants to coach at another club he'll more than likely have to take a cut.

I'm a Collingwood supporter Booney, i & many others Woods supporters incl no doubt Mick himself are sick & tired of this media build up.
Controversy is a big thing for the media, they just love it.

I think mick will have job offers coming at him thick and fast if he decides to part with the woods. melb, dogs and the crows will all be keen to sign him. But if he wins the flag again who knows what will happen i see bucks missing out ?

Buckley has the job next year no matter what. Although Collingwood will look silly changing coaches when Collingwood play in another GF.

This cant be good for the Pies. Virtually unbackable favourites for the flag so the only way they can be derailed is by the media harping on this story. They wont rest until a decision is made. Malthouse is a champion who would be welcome at any club

Could Jim Stynes have already spoken to McGuire about the possibility of Malthouse being released from his contract.

Given McGuire's past gestures for the good of the competition (i.e. helping to arrange significant sponsorships for other AFL clubs), could he possibly be open to the idea, especially to make sure Malthouse doesn't end up at Carlton.

Know Malthouse has already said he's Collingwood or bust but it's appearing more and more likely that Buckley won't want him there next year.

Spot on. Their own self interest in not wanting to "lose" Buckley to another club has them now treading on egg shells and looking foolish as they bumble their way along ( off field anyway ) towards summer 2011-2012 and wonder what the hell Mick will be getting paid to do next year while also, in real terms, moving on a back to back Premiership coach. I hope it all falls in a big steaming pile.

how many free ride years does Primus get? Why wouldnt Port look at him.

I think Collingwood players are professional enough to go out and play good footy each saturday and wouldnt care about next year or what the media keep dribbling about.

Anyone who thinks it will 'derail' them is kidding themselves
