As did AD just then in his presser. I'll go along (cheering for Melb of course) to see what the atmosphere is like. It would want to be a full house but it would be funnier if only 20,000 show up ;)

Should be closer to 30,000 though if their "members" show up.

Interetsing to see what they can work out with access for saca/sanfl members.

If I dont get access as a SACA member, I'm complaining.

The tickets for members will probably go to a vote.

Which SACA would have rigged.

WOuldnt be the first time they have rigged an election lately.

Why complain? It's an extra event organised after you paid for membership.

And the comment on rigged voting is pretty close to defamatory I would have thought.

Trigg has now said he wants a NAB cup game at Adelaide Oval next year. Anyone told him cricket use the oval until late March?

Or is the start of the denegration of cricket at AO? Even I didnt think it would happen so quick

I just like that during the voting campaign i continually heard how AFL couldnt be played at AO for so many reasons and that this was so crucial that the upgrade was done so Port could move there etc etc.

I kept saying if they could play games in Darwin and Tasmania im sure that AO would be suitable to hold AFL games.

The media campaign ran in SA sucked in many people.

Give it 5 years and the AFL will follow FIFA with rules stating all games must be played at fully seated venues etc etc and then watch the AO hill disappear.

Or, watch the legislation and contracts that demand the hill is kept.

Looking forward to it. This is a Glenelg aligned game for Auskick / Mini League, so it'd be good to get out there at half time and watch the kids run around. The kids will be from the South East zone too, so they'll enjoy it too!

Care to elaborate on this? I'm assuming you have evidence to suggest the SACA have been a part of a $535m scam?

Well their continued reluctance to release such evidence to the contary gives the perception that they have something to hide....

Some good points there.

Also it seems as though Perth's new 60k seat stadium is a little more cost effective than our exorbitant "upgrade".

No, I think you thought it was a crucial point

When you raised this crucial point some including me questioned it. That doesn't mean it was a key plank of our argument.

It was some NO voters making this out to just be about the Port Adelaide crowds. The rest of us are supportive for that reason but also the other bigger reasons.

You mean the information they released a week ago?

The inference of any election rigging is a slur on the company engaged to run it, not SACA - a point lost on conspiracy theorists.
