I can't stand Brian Taylor, he acts like he was the greatest to ever play.
Matty Cambell is fairly ordinary.
Bruce is annoying, always over analysing 5 minutes of football.

Used to like Voss too, but he was so much of a straight-shooter the AFL will probably ensure ($$'s) Brisbane to keep him as coach rather than have him back in the commentary box

I've often thought the term "media personality" to be paradoxical because the one thing many of them lack is just that .. a personality.

Tend to agree AH. It seems as though all the media training makes them too professional, rather than have their natural personalities come through, like Lou Richards and Ian Day. Similar in the cricket, whether you like them or not, if you compare Lawry and Greig with Slater, Healy and Taylor.

I dont see how a commentator has such an impact on people viewing the footy. I can barely remember who called a game as soon as it is finished.

Dont enjoy Walls and Blight,too negative.Really like Brian Taylor very funny man when hosting AFL teams and also seems to enjoy calling games.Personally think some commentators become grumpy and tired towards latter part of minor round each season.

Neither can we because they don't add anything memorable. Besides, they never talk about Port so that's why you don't notice them.

On the opposite side although I never liked the guy when he played footy I really enjoy listening to Warren Tredrea on the radio, he speaks well, has an enjoyable personality and comes across as intelligent. Kind of the opposite to Riccuito.
