He's not saying Judd isn't a good player, he certainly is. However, I agree with REB, for all his ability and achievements, he's still massively over-rated. Claims such as "best player ever" really drive me around the bend, He's good, but he is nowhere near as good as some would have you believe.

It staggers me that his stuff ups (and there have been many) are glossed over by the media whereas if another player committed the same error, it would be highlighted. I recall once he was tackled like a rabbit on spotlight, dropped the ball and for a change the umpire pinged him. The comment ... "Look at the way Judd stood up in the tackle". Even when he got done, he was still praised!!!

And my favourite ... the ball is handballed to Judd on the run towards goal. He runs in and goals from 20 metres out on the run. A routine goal, but the commentator spews out, "A classic goal as only Judd can do". Really? Judd is the only player in the AFL who can goal on the run from 20 metres? Somehow I don't think so. Another time he kicked a behind and the comment was that no other player would have scored from there. Once again, pure dribble.

Good? Yes. Extremely good? Maybe. Over-rated? Definitely.
